Model - bigsteve - 26-08-12 simple question from the terminally bewildered ![]() Whats the difference between FZS 600 and a FZS 600 SP ??????? My good lady has a 51 plate 600 ( square head light ) Is that FZS600 OR FZS 600 SP as wemoto the year shows up as a SP so wondering the difference Re: Model - marksfazer - 26-08-12 I believe it was just paint. The SP's had multi color. Re: Model - bigsteve - 26-08-12 :rolleyes Er well i am even more confused hers is one colour so even though hers is 51 plate its just a FZS 600 then Re: Model - darrsi - 26-08-12 2000. Model number 5DM7, 5DMA. Colours: gold/black/silver, red/black/silver, black, silver ![]() 2001. Model number 5DMC.. Colours: red/black/white (new decal pattern), blue, black, silver:VRC1 (Vivid Red Cocktail 1)BMC1 (Blue Metallic Cocktail 1)BL2 (Black 2)SM1 (Silver Metallic 1). Carbon-effect clock surround (used to be gold-effect).. Silver painted fork lowers (previously plain alloy).. Plain (silver) steel rear sprocket (used to be black).. Helmet holder missing (used to be a welded, bent steel rod under the seat).. Yamaha changed the recommended service interval on all their 2001+ models to 6000 miles (previously 4000 miles). No material changes were made to specifically accommodate this, so it could be considered 'backward compatible' if you choose. IF IT'S X OR Y PLATE, 00/01, THEN IT'S AN SP Re: Model - bigsteve - 26-08-12 So from that i know it has 1/ adjusters on top of forks 2/ the funnel for tank over flow 3/ two trip meters 4/ hazard switch 5/ carbon clock surround but is one colour IE blue so its a SP model ??? Cheers darrsi sorry to be so dumb its the age !!!!!! Re: Model - darrsi - 27-08-12 Fork adjusters, 2 litre bigger tank, and bit more comfy for passengers, they're the important bits! I changed my forks for older one's, without the adjusters (long story) but always prefer hard suspension anyway, so it's still all good! My bike's all black by the way! |
