quick cover question - Notch000 - 15-08-12 thinking of gettign a oxfored stormex cover for my 99 fzs, should i get a M or LRG size ???? My bike also have a box rack fitted, the reviews tend to point towards the LRG sign but i dont want to be putting a sail on my bike either http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B000R593AG/ref=cm_cr_pr_btm_link_2?ie=UTF8&pageNumber=2&showViewpoints=0 Re: quick cover question - Dead Eye - 15-08-12 The cover I have is just a standard one from Hein Gericke and they suggested M (I think?) but I find it is just a bit too small and would ideally have gone for the next size up. I say I think since I may have an L and want an XL instead ![]() ![]() Re: quick cover question - AdieR - 15-08-12 If you've got a box / rack fitted, then the next size up is probably a good idea. I got a cover from Halfords (their own, size Large and supposedly suitable for up to 750cc bikes) and whilst it fitted the bike as standard, it's hopelessly small unless I take the box off and into the house. I'd be inclined to go to a local dealer / shop, they *may* let you try it for fit on your bike if you ask, and many will do a decent deal if you ask them. Re: quick cover question - Notch000 - 15-08-12 my local shop does not stock any desirable covers, i already have a cheap Aldi one thats doing an ok job for the moment Re: quick cover question - darrsi - 16-08-12 Always go bigger if not sure, personally i'd go XL with a top box, pointless getting anything undersized! Re: quick cover question - Elise111s - 16-08-12 I have an Oxford rainex on my 99 Fazer 600 and went for the large size and also have a Givi top box rack. It won't fit on though with the top box fitted. Re: quick cover question - Buzz - 21-08-12 I've got the Medium Stormex and it fits perfectly over my '03, goes down to the bottom of the discs at the front and back. I've got a 45L Givi and it deffo won't go over that when it's fitted. |
