For the cyclists among you - TuonoV - 06-07-12

Lidl are selling bike stands for £30. They have got really good reviews on the bike forums, and whilst I've not got mine home yet, they weigh a ton and have a 3 year warranty so should be properly built.

They started selling them yesterday so might be sold out in some stores. Unfortunately I only spotted this walking past on my way home.

Also have backlit wireless computers for £8 and a few other bits and pieces

Thanks TuonoV, went straight out after reading this, 2 x little seat bags with tookit/puncture repair, 1 pair gloves, wireless speedo, gel seat, cable lock, wall bracket and all for £41!!  Smile  Taking the cycle lock back though, 'snot up to the job. Cheers for the heads up mate.  Wink

No worries mate, I did have a quick look at the other stuff - gloves for £3.50 and a few other bits and pieces, pretty good value! Actually I'm thinking of going back and getting one of the bike wall hooks.

Good call about the cable lock - never use those for anything other than as a third lock to secure something small and non valuable with - I wouldn't even secure my helmet with a cable lock! They are completely useless and broken in about a second.

I finally managed to get the workstand. Bloody well made, much sturdier than they look in the pics.

had one of these for about a year do the whole familys cycle maintenance with it, fantastic bit of kit for the money.

The only  downside is if you clamp round the seat post then the weight of the front of the bike pulls the bike down to an odd angle, but for the money its a minor gripe and knowing Lidls/Aldi's they tend to put the improvements in eventually
