Cheers

Main pro's are in my mind , they are a great all rounder, There are lots around this is always a plus with any vehicle or bike! main weak spots are the grotty standard front pipes(pretty obvious, crap headlights on the pre foxeye models,
apart from that what you see is what you get!

Hi Caigie,
You looking at the 600 or the 1000?  I reckon the thou is a great all-rounder as Bwizz said. I've had allsorts of stuff from small to large and the Gen-1 FZS1000 is just fantastic! I can't believe it took me so long to buy one. I've always fancied one but somehow always got sidetracked into buying something else like a 900 Hornet or a CBF1000, etc. Nothing quite hits the mark like this bike. I think I really have found a "keeper". I only wish I'd bought one new before they were discontinued.

Big Grin
Tom

Thanks for the reply Tom. Much appreciated. I've been looking at the 600 to be honest. I've been away from riding for about 5 years so a smaller engine bike for a few years before I make the step up

Hello mate, I just got my FZS600 after passing my DSA last Friday so I don't really have the experience to give you a pro's and cons, but I'm loving the bike, very forgiving but enough challenge and oomph for a new rider  Smile

Re: New member Hello ! - JZS 600 - 26-06-12

Well, I've got to say, it wasn't my first choice, I was after a VFR or a Triumph Sprint after my last bike got wrote off but it came up when I was walking away from a sick VFR I tried at a shop one day, he said give it a go.

Well, I still wasn't that sure when I bought it, I'm using it for commuting but damn it, it's grown on me and now I think it's great! Getting 60 - 65 mpg on the commute, take it for a blast and it's plenty fast and handles pretty good as well. You can give it a damn good thrashing if you like, something that's a bit dodgy to do on the current crop of sports bikes (and get away with a clean licence/underpants) and now I'm thinking about a bit of light touring.

I've got an 02 600 and it's great.

Hi Caigie, welcome to the site, full of great people  Smile

Send a PM to 'Mr Grimsdale' on here, you'll find him in Events etc on the Scotlandshire thread. He is near you and is about to sell a very well looked after and maintained FZS 600.

Good luck whatever you do, Russ.
