Ultimate FZS 600 - Fazer Jake - 19-06-12 One of the best modded FZS 600 i've seen, didnt know the thou would fit in a 600 frame :eek http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FZS600-FAZER-R1-R6-ONE-OFF-BUILD-/320925208116?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4ab8a20e34 Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - darrsi - 19-06-12 I must confess, if i'd had the spare cash i'd probably bid for that........ ![]() Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - wraith600 - 19-06-12 well worth the cash ![]() Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - caretaker - 19-06-12 i'd just buy a good FZ1. Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - JZS 600 - 19-06-12 I'm being thick here but what do you say on the insurance form about bike mods! Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - darrsi - 19-06-12 If you're daft enough to click on the modification part of an online insurance form, like me for my exhaust, then a whole box of options pop up. You'd be amazed at some of the things they class as a mod', like engine or fork crash protectors for instance! Surely they'd be put on for the benefit of your bike if you had a prang wouldn't they??? :rolleyes Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - JZS 600 - 19-06-12 Be OK if you don't crash it then.... Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - darrsi - 19-06-12 Only reason i declared my end can was because i didn't wanna get mugged off by the insurance people on a technicality if i ever needed to claim! Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - Rangrally - 19-06-12 It's a nice conversion, but why? Just buy an R1 or a FZ1. Because its only £200 insurance a year :lol Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - His Dudeness - 20-06-12 funny that the ultimate fzs600 is a 1000 :lol Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - Captain Haddock - 20-06-12 (19-06-12, 09:56 PM)Fazer Jake link Wrote:
Because its only £200 insurance a year :lol
Not if you declare the mods to your insurer.... As much as I love messing around with bikes the way insurers are nowadays I'd just buy a thou, bring back the old rider policy.... Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - wraith600 - 21-06-12 if you don't want 1000cc power keep the 6 and just make it handle better through a twisty bit of road that 6 will beat a 1000 :lol and is still cheaper to run if you think that's mad you should see mine ![]() Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - darrsi - 21-06-12 I see it never sold, i wonder what the reserve was? Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - Fazerider - 21-06-12 Impressive job. All it needs now is a nice stiff alloy frame off, say, an R1 to handle the extra power and you'd have decent bike. :lol Anyway, apologies to Wraith... I seem to recall saying (about 6 months ago), that it probably wouldn't fit. Still think it's a guaranteed way of spending a huge amount of time, effort and money to produce something that'll sell for about 10% of what would make the venture worthwhile from a purely economic point of view. Fine if it's a hobby and you're intending to keep it, but this guy is clearly going to take a huge loss. Re: Ultimate FZS 600 - wraith600 - 21-06-12 exactley any amount of mods is only worth it if you are going to keep it . thats why i ended up doing mine most of the time it is fast enough i live in north london and rarely get out of hear except fore the odd track day or drag race |
