Insurance Renewal - dickturpin - 18-06-12 Just renewed with Motorcycle Direct...not heard of them before but under-cut Hastings by about £20 and with only a total excess of £50 (£200 less than Hastings) it seems a good deal. There was some bad comment about Hastings earlier this year so have had a change. I guess you only find how good they really are if you need to claim? D Re: Insurance Renewal - ghostbiker - 18-06-12 I went with motorcycle direct, and have just started a claim as i was knocked off last week. So far so good. i had a replacement bike 1250 bandit in 2 days and then a top box was brought out and fitted a few days later. my bike was picked up for assesment when the bandit arrived and the repair amount has just been sent to his insurance for review. all in under a week. the other side to do with claiming for leathers and helmet etc looks like it will take a LOT longer though as the soliciter they supplied dont seem to know thier arse from thier elbow. but still early days so will see how it go's Re: Insurance Renewal - dickturpin - 18-06-12 Ah, well that sounds ok so far. Can't complain too much at a premium a touch under £100 and £50 total xs, including business use. D Re: Insurance Renewal - AdieR - 19-06-12 Am with Aviva, they've been generally quite competitive. Made a claim from works insurance (also Aviva), claim was settled within 3 days, and the bike assessed within 10 days, and the bike ready not long after that. Re: Insurance Renewal - JZS 600 - 19-06-12 Had a good experiance with JMI. The last bike was insured by Bennetts, had an accident last year (October) and it's draggin on with no sign of a resolution... |
