Mirror blanking plates - Pat - 25-05-12 Anyone know where I can get a set of plates to blank off the holes left in the fairing if I switch from fairing to bar mounted mirrors? I've trawled ebay etc & can only seem to find ones with R1/R6 logos on them, I guess these would fit the 1st gen? but I'd much prefer either plain ones or ones with the tuning fork logo rather than something that obviously belongs on another bike! Basically I'd like something like this, but I don't want to pay £45 for them nor wait a couple of weeks for them to ship from Australia! : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-BLACK-Mirror-Block-Off-Plates-Caps-For-R1-R6-/300685345213 Re: Mirror blanking plates - know your limitations - 25-05-12 Is this suitable? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-Mirror-Block-Off-Plates-Tuning-Fork-Logo-Black-/360336633465#ht_818wt_1185 Re: Mirror blanking plates - Tmation - 25-05-12 Busters and M & P used to do them you have to dig through the web site a bit. I need to use the bike tomorrow so I've left them on as is at the moment, they're plain black paint & the 'R1' logo doesn't look to be etched into the metal, just masked into the paint so when I get some free time I'll strip & repaint them plain black. I also did order some ally so I may whittle myself a proper set come the long winter nights sat in front of the fire.... ![]() Re: Mirror blanking plates - DryRob - 29-05-12 (26-05-12, 09:53 AM)keithfzs1000 link Wrote: bought these myself and they are ok nowt flash but do the job nicely I've got a home made set but think they look a bit tatty, what's the dimensions of these and do they only have one bolt to hold them on or is one hidden behind the badge?
