Bleeding brakes. - Robfzs - 21-05-12 fitted the new braided lines and go to bleed it up do the opn nipple,pull lever,close nipple let go of leaver a fair few times and nothing happensfluid level doesn't change or anything,take off the hoses from the mc and no fluid comes out when i pump ? any ideas Re: Bleeding brakes. - Fazerider - 21-05-12 Have you tried filling the reservoir? ![]() Re: Bleeding brakes. - Robfzs - 21-05-12 yes. Re: Bleeding brakes. - ade the blade - 21-05-12 sounds like the mother of all airlocks. if you can get your hands on a big syringe, then maybe you could try pushing the airlock from down on the caliper back up to the mc. done it in the past. works a treat ![]() Re: Bleeding brakes. - Robfzs - 21-05-12 managed to get the mc pumping by putting thumb over the hole and pumping till it presurised then put the pipes back on,mate said that his did the same and just got to keep pumping till it comes through Re: Bleeding brakes. - swem - 21-05-12 just keep at it lad i finished up putting a cable tie over my brake lever overnight not to tight mind u an hey presto next morn i had a hard lever :rolleyes this was after spending about 5 hours pumping front brakes btw had back brakes done in 15 mins :wall Re: Bleeding brakes. - Robfzs - 22-05-12 sorted them went round a mates and he had the mc apart as it wasn;t right,then reverse bled it and then normal bled it,pretty firm now |
