tyre pressure - rjd1 - 28-04-12 as above what do you run your thou at on road Re: tyre pressure - mcyoungy - 28-04-12 36 front, 39 rear as per book. Re: tyre pressure - rjd1 - 28-04-12 thats ok if yer a wee jap fella as per book do you run the same pressure if yer larger than the average bear? Re: tyre pressure - mcyoungy - 28-04-12 16 stone plus kit. yes. can't see that rider weight will affect tyre pressures. do you really want more than 36psi in the front? Re: tyre pressure - PieEater - 28-04-12 Book says 36 front regardless, 39 rear up to 90kg (14 stone), 42 rear for over 90kg (14 stone +). 36 / 42 for me. Re: tyre pressure - mcyoungy - 28-04-12 yeah it does. I find the back a bit too unforgiving if I run 42 psi. I reckon it's harder on the tyre too but it's probably in my head. Like the voices...... tyre pressure - cable tie - 29-04-12 34F / 36R Re: tyre pressure - Bracechenko - 29-04-12 STOP RIGHT THERE!! :rolleyes To save this thread from becoming a topic of wisdom & folk tails i'm going to simply say this.... Pressures are down to individual preference so start with manufacturer's recommendations and trial from there (generally going lower rather than higher). You'll find what works best for you :thumbup For the record, I run 36 & 40 on my FZ1 and i'm 12.5 stone of pure good looks ![]() Re: tyre pressure - eddie - 29-04-12 36f 42 r ... 2 up with luggage Re: tyre pressure - mcyoungy - 29-04-12 (29-04-12, 09:46 AM)Bracechenko link Wrote: STOP RIGHT THERE!! :rolleyes that's what forums are all about tho innit? Re: tyre pressure - PieEater - 29-04-12 All I can say is all credit to those who can tell the difference that 2 PSI makes to ride quality on the road, I don't think I could. So will probably go 38 rear. But as I say this isn't normal for me, its just not the right fitment rear and dosent give a good feel. |
