front and rear disc mounting bolts - bootz76 - 18-04-12 morning all :z just a quick question does anyone know offhand what size the mounting bolts are?? im guessing at m8x 30mm,mine are so rusty i know im gonna have agro getting them off :lol Re: front and rear disc mounting bolts - Gnasher - 18-04-12 Some or all the bolts WILL have thread lock on them make sure you have good quality tools and you may need to gently heat a few bolts to soften the thread lock. If you replace them you need the correct bolts either go back to standard or choose something like Pro bolt discs bolts. Heating the head of the bolts a touch to break down the thread lock, as Gnasher suggests, has always worked for me. Also don't forget to use thread lock on your new bolts, unless they are already dry coated with it. (I don't know if the Yamaha ones are or not). Re: front and rear disc mounting bolts - bootz76 - 26-04-12 had a look at the microfiche yamaha bolts are only 64p each !! so ive ordered some for all 3 discs. |
