Head gasket availability? - GrahamB - 10-04-12

Anyone know where I can buy "just" a head gasket for my gen1 ? Don't fancy buying a whole set if I can avoid.  :eek

Try fowlers they have allways had any gaskits I have wanted. Not allways the cheapest though.

I got one from my local stealers in Bolton ( ESB) about 18 months ago.
Cant remember exactly how much it was, but I think it was less than 30 quid, thats for just the head gasket.
So it is possible to get them, try your local dealer, they might surprise you :eek

I believe you can use the early R1 head gasket for a little extra compression, try wemoto etc.

Yes, but you need to alter the cam timing to match, meaning you need slotted cam sprockets and a bit of familiarity with a degree wheel. Smile
