Loose exhaust - Oxygen - 22-03-12 The round bracket that goes around my stock exhaust is a bit loose. It maybe the spot welds have come loose in parts. I have notice some after market exhausts have a "rubber" strip underneath the round bracket. Can these be purchased separately and if not could you recommend something else that would work and be able to deal with the heat ? I can only find this but it seems like I would have to break my clamp off http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-EXHAUST-STAINLESS-STEEL-CAN-STRAP-105mm-120mm-RUBBER-INSERT-/300618378227?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45fe406bf3#ht_734wt_689 Re: Loose exhaust - chunk166 - 23-03-12 You could always find an old cycle inner tube & cut it to size, probably cheaper & will have loads left over which could be used to cover the block connectors on your bike if you ride all year round to stop some of the weather getting in them? ![]() Ray Re: Loose exhaust - Oxygen - 23-03-12 Will they resist the heat ? Re: Loose exhaust - chunk166 - 23-03-12 Good Question, I'm sure it will, rubber is quite good & i doubt it will get hot enough to melt it? I'd give it a go,if you have an old tube handy it costs nothing or about £2 to buy? Ray Re: Loose exhaust - Oxygen - 23-03-12 I will feed back as I do have a spare/old tube |
