thundercat ignition advancer (factory pro?) in fzs 600 mk1 ? - mike26 - 09-03-12 if its been said im sorry, but do thundercat ignition advancers fit straight on fzs no trouble? if so shouldn't a k & n airfilter full exhaust system and ignition advancer sort the fazers midrange ? anyway if anyone knows if it will fit then great can you let me know lmao i have a spare fzs engine practice on anyway thanks mike Re: thundercat ignition advancer (factory pro?) in fzs 600 mk1 ? - thom_1991 - 09-03-12 Apaprently the fazer and thundercat really dont share that many parts. It isn't actually a detuned t-cat engine at all. Sort the midrange? Its got bloody loads for a 600 personally i'd like just a bit more at the top! Also what full exhaust? Is it a proper race system or just an oe style one but in stainless? Re: thundercat ignition advancer (factory pro?) in fzs 600 mk1 ? - mike26 - 09-03-12 erm well i know what you mean about the midrange i mean like, into the "power band" sooner rather that 8k rpm more like 6 and i thought the rotor would be the same? Re: thundercat ignition advancer (factory pro?) in fzs 600 mk1 ? - virtual bodysnatcher - 09-03-12 If anything I'd expect the 'Cat to have less midrange than the Fazer so an advancer may not have any better curve than a std Fazer's got anyway? I've always found it pretty good midrange, most 600's need a whack of revs to get them going, if you want elastic mid-range get a v twin or more cc's ![]() |
