chain and sprocket - brianwtom - 08-03-12 Hello every body,very pleased with my 1999 fazer 600 had the 04 but didnt like it preffure the older one only bought it a week ago but just found out chain and sprocket needs changing took the studs out of the front sprocket cover but the cover wouldnt come of dont know if there is an hidden bolt some were,can any body tell me if they are easy to change dont fancy bike shop prices,thank you all ones again brian south wales uk. Re: chain and sprocket - b3tarev3 - 08-03-12 If you have removed ALL the bolts and the gear shift it should come off with a litte gentle persuasion - it's probably the gasket that is holding the two surfaces together. Re: chain and sprocket - bikemad62 - 08-03-12 There are 5 bolts 2 at the top 2 atĀ the bottom and one in the recess in the middle of the sprocket coverĀ rear wheel end. Take off the gear lever 10mm spanner. If your really lucky squeeze the clutch lever in it will pop off. If it does not you may need to pry it off be gentle the edges break easily. Hope this helps. Re: chain and sprocket - keno - 09-03-12 There is also 2 if i remember right metal dowels these might be stuck if it has not been removed for some time. Give it a gentle tap with a rubber mallet should free it no problem. |
