Cheers Re: quick opinion - DryRob - 30-01-12 I know someone with a Daytona and he mentioned his fuel tank has blisters in it from ethanol added to fuel. Think he said it was because the tank is nylon. Can't remember the model/year though might be worth having a dig around for info on that... Re: quick opinion - Gnasher - 30-01-12 Go for the GSXR-600 or the R6 both cracking but are very different from a Fazer useable but have their draw backs comfort being one that said if you ride daily and dont suffer from back/arm issues not too tall they can offer all day comfort. They are both fast, very :eek ![]() Both are very evenly matched in performance fag packet between them it comes down to style and which one you can get the cheapest, both are a little over priced and you should be able to get a few hundred off each. Re: quick opinion - Skippernick - 30-01-12 My boss has one of those triumphs and it is one the ugyist bikes in the world all bolbus bits and weird. :eek THIS IS MY OPINION before anyone starts having a go at me :lol Re: quick opinion - phil on a fazer - 31-01-12 (30-01-12, 10:02 PM)Skippernick link Wrote: My boss has one of those triumphs and it is one the ugliest bikes in the world yeah, guy at work used to have one and i thought they were ugly too. Great engine though. Re: quick opinion - CharlieDee - 31-01-12 The R6 looks a good buy!! My mate had serious issues with his Gixxer - Cam chain/cam chain tensioner - then a bent valve(only 24k miles)... think I will stick with the tuning fork for a little longer yet. :lol Re: quick opinion - steeeve66 - 31-01-12 what do you plan using it for? i used to have a Thundercat and then an R6 - but it's the 'cat i wish i'd held on to as a 'second bike'. not terribly glamorous but comfortable, relatively cheap to run, relatively easy to service etc. etc. Re: quick opinion - Fazerjon - 31-01-12 I had an '04 FZ6 for about 9 months. Never bonded with it. I found it snatchy and didnt think it handled as well as my 99 FZS600! Quite quick though, saw 150 on the speedo a couple of times. (On the track of course)!! :lol Re: quick opinion - tommyteeman - 31-01-12 I had a thundercat and apart from the stock suspension, which will more than likely have been upgraded now anyway, It was a very good bike. They have a big fairing by todays standards which is very effective, make just shy of 100bhp and will top 150mph if your brave. Decent bikes dont make much either, real bargains imo |
