Re: Lucky escape! - GringoRojo - 28-09-11

cant see that here at work, but from the description, sounds a bit like me when I wrote off my mates 1979 Z1 by sticking it in a ditch. the front end stopped dead, the seat punted me up the arse and I was catapulted over the bars to land about 40 feet away on my feet having done a full somersault. I remember thinking "that was close" as I passed a large pine tree while in mid rotation.

Looks to me like SMIDSY may have been on the phone. She seems to hastily put something down on the passenger seat?

Re: Lucky escape! - Tori - 29-09-11

I think you'll find she was taking her seat belt off.

Very nasty, and should of been looking where she was going agreed. But she at least asked him if he was ok and apologised immediately. Unlike when I was hit in march and the driver just got out of his car and started hurling abuse at me, even though I was stationary and it was so clearly his fault!

Re: Lucky escape! - Farjo - 29-09-11

:agree women always apologise (even when it's not their fault) and cause less accidents. I bet loads of men have run into the back of the vehicle in front when the traffic has stopped suddenly.

Was anyone else thinking MIRRORS when he had to stop so quickly? This happened to me once but because I could tell that the car behind wasn't paying attention I moved over to the right and his driver door was level with me before he stopped - he was looking very sheepish!
