Re: McIvanising (Scotland Ivanising) - Falco9 - 25-09-14

Hi Mike

Yes I think Cornwall may be too far, so April 2015 is looking favourite, I'll keep my eyes peeled for the location etc...

Cheers

Pretty much what I thought you'd see, Bruce.  Smile

I've just realised it's already been a week since I arrived in Irvine ... where the hell did it go? Smile

Didn't do the torque test but it certainly will be up....fuel ratio was a wee bit out but not enough to be bothered about.....unless told otherwise

The graphs below show my slip-on in red and full-monty in blue

Brian, with the gearing down a tooth you were pretty much spot on it being like an R1, we compared a couple of Dyno charts with the carbed R1's and there was only less than 2 bhp in it.

Re: McIvanising (Scotland Ivanising) - onejay - 26-09-14

as i have said before

the Fazer 1000 is a very  under estimated bike
you can bimble along or unplug your brain and go banzai

No doubt helped by the S1000rr shock to be able to put all that extra power into action :lol

Re: McIvanising (Scotland Ivanising) - downey - 26-09-14

yes that is for certain , the new shock gives a lot more confidence in the bike on the whole better handling and more clean unstiffled power on tap ,sure shes like a whole different animal
all credit must go to both yourself unfazed and falcon269 for helping me to get her running as well as she is .cheers  guys  :thumbup     :faz

Re: McIvanising (Scotland Ivanising) - onejay - 27-09-14

Not really but not to difficult, but go for the 2012/2013 model with the silvered fork. you might get a few late 2011 models with the same silvered fork.  All the info here http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,4976.msg132497.html#msg132497

It raises the rear by 10mm which helps speed up the turn in
