I agree mate. If I had the extra funds id probably have threw down for a speed triple instead of the gen 1 myself, may as well go for it while you have the money Smile

Re: Recommend me a bike. - fazersharp - 14-04-14

I need to do a test ride on a street tripple !!!
Who wants to buy my FZS if I like it

Re: Recommend me a bike. - ogri48 - 14-04-14

The 1050 is an awesome riders bike, both it and the 675 are perfect road engines.
I've got a triumph, albeit not a performance bike ( bonneville), and there is something incredibly satisfying about owning one, though that might be because I'm older than most of you. It just feels kinda cool too be on a Brit bike, missus loves it too. There's so many reasons we all love our bikes, it isn't down to facts and figures, it's a heart thing more than most. Keep going nogster, your getting there mate...

Re: Recommend me a bike. - esetest - 14-04-14

I wouldn't bother with the Z800 , I tried the Z750  & the Z1000 and the difference between them is ooh that feels smooth and rip your foccin head off .
Me I am determined  to buy the new Monster 1200 this year .

Re: Recommend me a bike. - ogri48 - 14-04-14

Lot of you blokes buying new bikes this year, never been a better choice I guess

Re: Recommend me a bike. - fazersharp - 14-04-14

Its just at 15 years old she aint getting any younger, so gonna see how I feel on a 2012 street

Re: Recommend me a bike. - noggythenog - 14-04-14

I managed to view a Z800 today & I'm mighty impressed...it was just as i wanted it to be.....styling is spot on & it has nice proportions....everything on it looks really good quality.

After my cb1000r disappointment yesterday i was preying that it would be a comfy fit.........&'it is perfect! 8) ......my legs were comfy round the tank, reach to the bars was just right.......sitting on the bike with my foot down on the road sees me flat footed on the ground with just a small leg bend, almost as if I'm just standing up instead of being contorted..

Feet on the pegs is nicely natural as per the pic.

The dealer is getting a demo bike next week so im looking forward to a test ride but so far so good. Smile

Erm --- if I may, I think the kwak looks "plasticky"

Re: Recommend me a bike. - noggythenog - 14-04-14

I cant wait to tell you all about it slim.......in my Autobiography......it's entitled:-

"Wild Bore

One mans luke warm journey into the unimaginative world of  boring the foc outta somebody"

Available in selected Spar shops in pontypool until Easter

You may indeed buddy................where's the "report fazersharp" button  :evil :evil :evil

Aint it strange how different folk just take a liking to something though....or a dislike rather......& i cant see that the Z will sell all that well with all the competition it has but there's something strangely endearing about that...& i cant help liking it

Im quite sure the speed triple outperforms it in most areas.....but i do like being the underdog

Re: Recommend me a bike. - slimwilly - 14-04-14
