Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - agricola - 07-09-17 Modern household paints. Open the tin, use half of it. Reopen the lid 4 weeks later to do some more and the fekkin lid has rusted to the tin, the rust and crap drops into the rest of the paint so you then cant use it. And its not cheap. Why on earth dont they put it in plastic cans with screw lids Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - fazersharp - 07-09-17 (07-09-17, 12:48 PM)agricola link Wrote: Modern household paints. I said "Hobby Parts", however the mature old lady behind the counter heard "BODY PARTS" !!! ... She almost dived through the security glass screen! lol. :eek Her alarming response (upon "hearing" the latter) was priceless. Bless her. :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - agricola - 07-09-17 (07-09-17, 12:52 PM)fazersharp link Wrote:
To stop the rust and crap dropping down onto the paint try turning it upside down when opening :lol
:lol Actually, you got me thinking. I could turn it upside down and get the tin opener on the bottom. Yeeaaahhh Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - fazersharp - 07-09-17 Online questionnaires from places I have brought from or services I have used. A few times now I have clicked ok yes I will do your servery about the (whatever it was ) it starts off all relevant to the product but then you get near the end and the it starts your age bracket - ok i will give you that, then later its your job and income and if you have kids or a house/hall NO FOC OFF and I just quit the servay when I was actually telling them how good the product was. I just think of it the same way as I would if I actually went into a shop and bought something. I wouldn't stop to fill out a survey then, so I'm not going to start doing it just because it's online.
I actually wanted to give my feed back on a good service/product and to praise them so they missed out Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - tommyardin - 08-09-17 The other thing about online product surveys is you go to great length and effort to describe the product and it's good points and praise the supplier for their brilliant services and prices also their response times with free delivery. You read it over before posting it, do a few final adjustments and spelling corrections, hit post and a dialogue box pops up say you must log in to post a review. Fuck off I don't want to create an account with Shopaholic or Reviewmyshit or create a password with at least eight letters or more thay must include at least one number and one upper case letter. I also have no desire to tell them my Mothers maiden name, or the name of the family pet. Here is one grumpy old foccer that now fills in no surveys what-so-ever. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - slappy - 08-09-17 It pisses me off even more when you buy something online then before it is delivered they send you an email asking for a review when you have not even got the bloody item. That and the evilbay review where you have to make a comment in that little comment box otherwise it will not let you post a review. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - maddog04 - 08-09-17 with Tommy on that one :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - fazersharp - 10-09-17 News reporting on the weather, yes it is shit over there in the Caribbean and Florida and I too have had some of Sharp Halls roof removed by the wind but my goat get is the way the news reports it. Sky had a live reporter hardly audible over the wind and staggering saying how bad it is and how difficult it is to stay on his feet - when a jogger went by in shades. Next the BBC (remember the inaudible Sky reporter ) only this time it was propper windy - but all the wind noise was cut out and you could hear them perfectly - so the sky report was consciously haming it up. I am not saying it is not bad but saying it was not that bad at that stage. Now not content with sending reporters to an overwhelmed area the BBC have sent Shafanacker - the BBC weatherman to report as well FFS I would rather my licance money go to some aid than Shafanacker flying first class to tell me its FOCing windy. EDIT ---- better yet spend that money on a few more computer RAM over here so we can get better predictions Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - tommyardin - 10-09-17 (10-09-17, 09:00 PM)fazersharp link Wrote: News reporting on the weather, yes it is shit over there in the Caribbean and Florida and I too have had some of Sharp Halls roof removed by the wind but my goat get is the way the news reports it.
