Managed to get a couple of hours in the garage/workshop/playroom on Saturday afternoon. Ended up drilling out the snapped stud and fitting a Helicoil. I hate using Easyout's, they can be good when the snapped stud is loose already, (who snaps a loose bolt/screw?) but if the thing is seized or corroded in place, I find that the simple act of using one, forces the remaining stud material outwards onto the thread and nothing happens until the easyout snaps - then you've got two problems!
Anyway, coolant Foo Foo valve sorted and back in position. :lol

Nice job :thumbup . Expect you hope to be finished in time for Mayday, when hopefully the weather bucks up. Going to Le Mans on Thursday for the 24hour. Looking at the current forecast for the early hours, the heated grips will be getting a workout for sure.

Neither will be happening the way it's going - job's are piling up. Just confirmed that May Bank holiday weekend I'll be working at Goodwood and between then and now I've got a job on near Teeside as well.
And as for the weather......... :'( (I blame Brexit, Dominic Cummins, Donald Trump, The Russians, Immigration, etc etc :lol )

Unless I had free tickets I don't think I would go - I've heard horror stories regarding arriving, parking and exiting the site.

A pal used to be a chef there, and got me a ticket to the Festival of Speed once. Going by bike is imperative as local roads get gridlocked :eek .

I could see the issue with roads on Saturday as there was a minor event on. There was also a noisy airplane which kept taking off!

Busy weekend coming up for you, hope it stays dry. I’ll be at Margate for the annual Meltdown meet on Monday, which could be a bit damp in the afternoon if the forecast stays the same. Any progress with the Fazer?

. Running way better than last year - cleaner pick up and I haven't balanced the carbs yet.

Excellent :thumbup , must feel and look like a new bike. Discovering where the adjustment screws are hiding is the main chore with the carb balance, as well as a screwdriver with the shaft ground down to get to some of the adjustment screws, makes life easier. I expect you’ve got a set of those though

Just back from hols. The Farmyard is next weekend so I'm told, but arm injury sustained at the Dragon, will stop me from going. Next hossie appointment is July 10, be glad when it's sorted.

I’ve been told that the big marquee will be reinstated this year, which was sorely missed last year when it rained, as there was little shelter. If you do go I’ve got a good route from Exeter, which is quite enjoyable.
