Well... If I get it, I was thinking of modding a Fazer style fairing for it. The VT250-FII looks the tits with it's full fairing! I might do something like that to it. ![]() IF being the important word. And I've decided to wait until AFTER I've secured a job to go look / spend money. I am quite prepared to spend all day in there arguing them down. I want a bike, I refuse to spend more than X on it, X is a wee bit more than what I want to spend, time for a fight with the salesman! :lol :lol :lol Re: Advice please Foccers! - red98 - 08-11-13 good on yer christo ![]() ![]() Re: Advice please Foccers! - JoeRock - 08-11-13 (07-11-13, 05:36 PM)ChristoT link Wrote: The GPZ and the GS are both good suggestions, but there is a huge problem. THat's funny that Christo, my insurance companies really didn't care. I'm suspeecting you're adding that in on a comparison site which does screw around with values, best couple I used were Carole Nash, and a company called wicked quotes. Both charged me about £400 for my honda hornet 600 (more expensive than a fazer to insure) at 18 and 19 respectively. Do think that your accident will be a hefty cause unfortunately though :/ Re: Advice please Foccers! - Doddsie - 08-11-13 Putting a modded fairing on it??............................... You gonna tell the insurance company about that???? ![]() Re: Advice please Foccers! - ChristoT - 08-11-13 (08-11-13, 10:01 PM)red98 link Wrote: good on yer christo Reminds me of a sign I saw in a restaurent a few years ago: The wages of sin are death... but the wages here are a lot worse!! :lol :lol :lol Re: Advice please Foccers! - dazza - 09-11-13 1K budget, insurance being the main stumbling block, look no further....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Raleigh-Chopper-Bicycle-MK11-73-Restored-Hot-Red-Collectors-Item-Superb-Example/181190730879?_trksid=p2047675.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555003%26algo%3DPW.CAT%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D18219%26meid%3D2587690456165889932%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D8342%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D121211470134%26 Re: Advice please Foccers! - unfazed - 09-11-13 Here are 2 options for you ![]() http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/bikes/yamaha/xt/postcode/sg15rg/radius/1500/sort/recpriceascdefault/cc-from/200cc/price-from/1000/cc-to/700cc/price-to/1500 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/yamaha-ttr250-/141109160329?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item20dac2e989 Re: Advice please Foccers! - ChristoT - 10-11-13 (09-11-13, 09:59 PM)unfazed link Wrote: Here are 2 options for you Thanks, Unfazed, but I really don't like trailies. The XT600 is to powerful, and the TTR is too slow for motorways!! Sorry! Re: Advice please Foccers! - JoeRock - 10-11-13 Christo, as I said earlier, don't put in on the comparison sites that you have a restrictor, as it shoots the insurance right up. Just stick in quotes as normal, ring up the companies and a lot of the time they'll add the restrictor without it changing the insurance price. Also worth giving Carole Nash and wicked quotes a ring directly - I used both of those for my two restricted years and neither charged any more. that or just don't tell them, it's a bunch of crap anyway! The insurance company should know that for the bike to be legal for your age is has to be restricted anyway, so there shouldn't be an issue. Not that the restrictors have any point anyway to be honest - I'm betting the insurance company didn't check for the restrictors after your accident - had an accident myself whilst supposedly restricted and it didn't happen, along with a load of mates that had the same thing! Funnily enough, I'm currently 100yrds away from Wicked Quotes even as I type! And I was insured with them on the Fazer prior to prang. I suppose you're right about the restrictor. That being said, I don't want a nasty surprise either!! Thanks for the input though! ![]() EDIT: With all mods off, a Fazer still costs £600 to insure. I think finances are going to put me on a smaller cc machine until I get more funds, NCB etc. Re: Advice please Foccers! - Davieg47 - 18-11-13 (04-11-13, 12:45 PM)devilsyam link Wrote:I would like one of these,,obviously not in pink (peuk) !!
