Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 04-03-12 4 sent out this week 8 just arrived from race team Re: R6 shock Mod - Ghoti - 04-03-12 Actually got mine fitted yesterday. It has all been said before how good it is. Love it. As suggested ny Luke, the shorter dog bones are not needed. I had a jack-up kit on and the bike still turns as sharp as before, but with more stability too. It helps the front end too, but I'm going the attack that soon, also mentioned by Luke. Setting is spot on solo. Thanks Luke. Another recommendation. Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 04-03-12 nice one ghoti glad your pleased Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 08-03-12 mark gilbert yours has shipped today bud Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 10-03-12 Fazer 1967 here's yours 0 miles going out courier monday ![]() Re: R6 shock Mod - 1967fazer - 10-03-12 Cool stuff ![]() Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 12-03-12 I get asked alot about spring colour so too make sure everyone understands It does not matter wot colour red, black.yellow or silver there is no difference in spring rate hope this clears it up Re: R6 shock Mod - eddie - 12-03-12 one more question luke... ... does the spring colour matter :lol Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 13-03-12 TRUST YOU lol :rollin Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 15-03-12 Nice and becoming rare yellow shock arrived yesterday so be quick Re: R6 shock Mod - gel - 15-03-12 Thanks Devilsyam for the instructions, much evolved from the originals that went in the recycling :oops , I have all the recommended tools, all ready to have a go this weekend........Well I was until the other half has arranged for house viewing on Saturday and with mothers day on sunday I have no chance of doing it this weekend. Oh well best lade plans and all that.... Going to order a Shock Sock, so that its kept in good condition as I ride all year round. Re: R6 shock Mod - 1967fazer - 15-03-12 Bugger can't believe I just missed out on a yellow sprung shock and I bet the sring rate is different cos its yellow eh? I'm amazed how much lighter the r6 shock is compared to the standard one!.....or is the cos r6 one is clean! :rolleyes Re: R6 shock Mod - dickturpin - 15-03-12 I went for silver cos I think that is the heaviest spring rate! Re: R6 shock Mod - 1967fazer - 15-03-12 Just read the tail end of my last post!!!!! I think meant to say "or is it cos the r6 shock is clean", but I'm not sure now Brain fade, methinks Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 16-03-12 I think you mean clean as in like "brand new" :rollin Re: R6 shock Mod - 1967fazer - 17-03-12 Fitted and working, bring on this weekend ![]() Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 17-03-12 cool glad you like it --- one nice rare yellow one in stock at the mo Re: R6 shock Mod - markrg - 18-03-12 Fitted my R6 shock yesterday and it makes a massive difference to the ride quality / handling, my thanks to Devilsyam. Re: R6 shock Mod - devilsyam - 19-03-12 cool glad you like it ![]() Re: R6 shock Mod - chr999chr - 19-03-12 Just a note to all which is not in the instructions but is common sense when you think about it. Remember to prop up the rear of the bike because when the bolts are removed from the shock the rear end will drop and sit on the foot pegs scraping the rear plastic :eek :o |
