Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Graham53 - 30-01-17 She's loving it , drives nicer than her 54 plate Clio , she's got a couple of grand to get a new car but changed her mind after driving this one, its tatty on the outside, car park dints and that but then she's not bothered about parking it and worried it'll get scratched. Weirdly it's got all the extras but not remote central locking , it's really pissing her off especially when it's raining :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - BBROWN1664 - 30-01-17 Fitting a remote central locking system is cheap and easy if it has central locking already. Pick up a kit for under £20 on fleaBay Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Graham53 - 30-01-17 (30-01-17, 09:49 AM)BBROWN1664 link Wrote: Fitting a remote central locking system is cheap and easy if it has central locking already.I'm not gonna tell her that she'll have me trying to fit it and probably foccing it up , everything mechanical I look at lately fucks up :'( Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - BBROWN1664 - 30-01-17 (30-01-17, 11:27 AM)Graham53 link Wrote: I'm not gonna tell her that she'll have me trying to fit it and probably foccing it up , everything mechanical I look at lately fucks up :'( You will be OK, its just a few wires and nothing mechanical :pokefun Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Graham53 - 30-01-17 I've just had a look at a few on the bay and amazon. If my shit Midas touch ends soon I'll get her one Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - darrsi - 01-02-17 This doesn't so much annoy me, i find it more embarrassing than anything. It's probably been mentioned before, but people who try their hardest to get some form of personalized number plate out of nothing. Todays winner was a fella driving a Porsche 911, with the number plate.....P80RCS. I mean, really? :rolleyes Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Graham53 - 01-02-17 (01-02-17, 08:43 PM)darrsi link Wrote: This doesn't so much annoy me, i find it more embarrassing than anything. He could have been a dyslexic pig farmer :lol Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Dudeofrude - 01-02-17 (01-02-17, 08:43 PM)darrsi link Wrote: This doesn't so much annoy me, i find it more embarrassing than anything. Probably cost him nearly as much as the porsche too ?? Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Billy Balthorpe - 01-02-17 Am I missing something? What is P80crs supposed to say? Porkers?? What's so good about that? It's not even close! Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - darrsi - 02-02-17 (01-02-17, 11:50 PM)Billy Balthorpe link Wrote: Am I missing something? What is P80crs supposed to say? Porkers?? What's so good about that? It's not even close! That's because you've changed the numbers again, it was P80RCS, and that was my whole point...... Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Billy Balthorpe - 02-02-17 Ahhh, now the beer haze has cleared I can see that with squinty eyes and viewed from the back of a galloping horse, in a dim light, it might say something not unlike Porsche, if you really tried hard. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - BBROWN1664 - 02-02-17 There used to be some blonde bimbo around Frimley that drive a Mercedes cabriolet with the reg F1LLY Not quite sure what it meant :pokefun Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - Billy Balthorpe - 02-02-17 I was down in the Keys in florida about 15 years ago and saw a plate that said WAS HIS. No ambiguity there. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - robbo - 02-02-17 One of the first personal plates I remember seeing was COM1C in 1966 on Jimmy Tarbucks 280SL Mercedes, although there was a wealthy MP named Nabarro who had a fleet of posh cars with NAB1,NAB2 etc. Often spotted around Belgravia in the 70's was Fiona Richmond's Radford Mini Cooper S which had FU2. Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - HarryHornby - 09-02-17 I give my visor a nice clean this morning to get rid of last night's rain and grime, I get half a mile down the road and the car in front squirts their windscreen to clean it goes all over my visor..... well that was worth me cleaning it! :'( Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - fazersharp - 09-02-17 (02-02-17, 01:07 PM)robbo link Wrote: One of the first personal plates I remember seeing was COM1C in 1966 on Jimmy Tarbucks 280SL Mercedes, although there was a wealthy MP named Nabarro who had a fleet of posh cars with NAB1,NAB2 etc. Often spotted around Belgravia in the 70's was Fiona Richmond's Radford Mini Cooper S which had FU2.Around here there are about 30 cars all with the number plate (in their minds ) RITESH Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - maddog04 - 09-02-17 I assume that's meant to read British, if so.....bellends 8) my gripe is travel insurance for disabled people looking to get away with the family so asked the DR to say she's fit to travel. He says I can't say that and no Dr would, all I can do is give a statement of fact (print out of medical history) and the Ins. Co. will have to say ye or nay based on that rang the Ins. Co. (All Clear who are recommended by the Stroke Association) and ask for a quote for the Mrs it then goes...... we'll save all the details and share them with others, so I ask who are you sharing them with....evasive answer given I need your details.....I'm not asking for cover so why do you need mine.....answered policy whats your phone number...... x directory mate you aint getting it I need the Dr to say in writing she's fit to travel, I explain the Doc won't do that but I have a SOF well its policy to have the Dr write so we cannot take this on unless..... I say forget it.......All Clear? stay clear!!! move onto 2nd Ins Co. (LV) a few questions and quote goes through with no dramas wanted quotes on going to the US but being told its a non starter, if anyone's been the US can you give me details of Ins Co? Re: Today's "What Gets My Goat" - BBROWN1664 - 10-02-17 Maddog - Hopefully I am trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs but........ Almost all insurance companies will exclude pre-existing conditions or events that could even be loosely related to that. Are you sure you want to travel so far, to a country currently run by a muppet, given the health history of your wife? I can completely understand the desire to go somewhere for a break and for that place to be warm and sunny but if it was me I would look MUCH closer to home just in case there was an issue as the insurance wont cover everything. Hopefully you will get that break soon though. I'm sure you need it. I'm not arsed about the Muppet but I can take it or leave it tbh. Surprisingly, there are Ins co's that will insure with pre existing conditions and they're not charging the earth which is a surprise though you're right, most won't. I'll go the policy with a fine tooth comb though ![]() fazersharp.....spill the beans then |
