Just got back off a mini break with the missus on the tiger. Blackpool to Barnard Castle for a couple of nights and exploring the sights of Durham.
It was her first time where we've spent the night away on the bike, and had to pack both the panniers with the usual ladies items. I had barely a tank bag full. :
She enjoyed it though, she's planning France next year!

Was in Matlock a couple of years ago when the Kawasaki triples club arrived, there was an RGV250 with a KH750 lump fitted, it had three unsilenced expansion chambers, and the sound, the most evil sounding twostroke I've ever heard.
Gave me a twitch........

I took the XJ600 to have new chain and sprockets fitted. I got caught in torrential rain coming back. Of course, the sun is out now.

Took a blast to Aberystwyth with my mate on his CBF, couple of adventurers joined us over the presselis
The weather was spot on.....sun high in the sky and offset so not straight in my eyes....was nicely cool and the roads were great....and pretty quiet too....had fun on the noggyfighter....being able to cane a bike wide open and al the way through the revs from 2nd gear onwards is pretty amusing
.Had a shot of the CBF on the way home to see what my mate was moaning about and fook me it is bloody scary......back end is totally frightening....like it was trying to crab sideways when you started turning in...or the bike was twisting in the middle...he reckons it is aparently a common flaw and a new rear shock will sort it out...fook me ive never experienced anything like it :eek .
Finished off mooching in the local bike dealers where he was looking at an old model Tiger 1050.

I went to Streetfighter Sunday at Prees Heath on the XJ600. Massive turnout due to the lovely weather. Great music, good food.

So good to see the bike world buzzing with this late sun......better than the actual summer although we are still BST.......i like the cool air and younjust get the sense that everyone is out making the most of it 8)

Went on a ride out with the Bristol motorbike riders from the Reckless Engineer in Templemeads to Glastonbury then onto Cheddar , where I left the ride out to make my way home .
Washed and polished it , took the battery off , need to get some ACF50, covered it over , won't get out on it till next year .

Busy old day on Kent's greenlanes today. About a hundred riders from a north Kent enduro club held an event covering 90 odd miles of byways across the county.
Explored some more byways never ridden and took in the beautiful Kent rural countryside.....Oh, and only fell off once

Cleaned the XJ600, treated with ACF-50. New chain and sprockets fitted in the week, so all ready for winter, and the speading of salt in the very near future.

Had a XJ600 from new back in1990 same colour, very quick for its day, shame had to sell it less than a year old due to growing family and shrinking wallet

I bought this new in June '89. As you say, it was reasonably quick for it's day, tested at 129mph by one of the bike mags. It's never let me down, and is pretty economical to maintain and to run. I still enjoy riding it.
