Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - noggythenog - 19-08-13 Hey Jody, not seen you on here much but looks like you've been having plenty fun time without us.. i'm not confident about getting my knee down to be honest, when im approaching a corner i feel like i'll upset the bike too much by trying to shift my fat arse across the seat, any tips about the weight on the seat issue, how far before a corner do you shift across? fras Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - JodyWheelieschool - 19-08-13 (19-08-13, 07:57 PM)noggythenog link Wrote: Hey Jody, not seen you on here much but looks like you've been having plenty fun time without us.. I guess I'll have to get my lazy arse down to some meets haha! There is plenty of tutorials on YouTube that will help you, but you've got to find a way that is comfortable for you and go with that! Not all corners will be the same so you kind of have to use your own judgement! I usually set myself up with speed and positioning right before entering the corner and shift my arse into place, As you can see it's more of my left thigh on the seat and me hanging off, it's harder to get much lower due to the low foot pegs on the Fazers... Jody Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - ChristoT - 19-08-13 Surely moving ones backside that far over isn't helping corner faster / improving balance? It's what's comfortable for me when getting my knee down, the bike physically will not lean much further, and it's surprising how much you can vary your speed whilst you have your knee down. I can go through a tight hairpin corner a load faster than I can if I didn't get it down, so I'd say it does help... Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - noggythenog - 19-08-13 it's harder to get much lower due to the low foot pegs on the Fazers... Have you jacked the bike up with smaller dog bones?, gives a little extra ground clearance & tighter turning. Also is that a Simmi end can?, looks like mine from what i can see. The bike is jacked up at the rear and the forks dropped through around an 3cm, also have aftermarket footpegs which are a little smaller... It's actually a scorpion carbon fibre can! Sounds so nice! :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - noggythenog - 19-08-13 well nice bike buddy, something a bit different there. keep up the stunting, but stay safe! 8) Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Mattsplat - 19-08-13 New oil and filter, twiddled with the suspension and got confused by the rebound being on the right fork top and the compression being on the left... I am correct about the rebound/comp being on different fork legs arent I....??? I think Grahamm was just giving a friendly warning. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - inditime - 20-08-13 Nothing, looked at it on the lift. Looks really sad all in bits just to get two new exhaust studs in. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - JZS 600 - 20-08-13 I think if I leaned off the bike that much I'd never lever myself back on the seat! ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - dazza - 20-08-13 Changed a rear light bulb. The downside to having a modified rear....What a kafuffle. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Dead Eye - 20-08-13 Got back out in to the garage. Leant the bike right over on to its side and refitted the forks and front wheel so that I could finally lift it back upright and put it back on the centre stand after its little escape attempt last week. So now its secured by 4 axle stands so shouldn't be going anywhere this time. Unfortunately found out that the bolt on the top of the old '99 forks is a size not in my collection so that sort of stopped me in my tracks for the day. But at least progress has been made. I was surprised at the lack of damage to the downpipes as well - they were holding a fair bit of weight for a while there and haven't deformed at all Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Anquetil - 20-08-13 Left Wrexham at 8-30am for Bala-Dolgellau-Machynlleth-Tal y Bont-up the mountain road to Nant y moch reservoir-down the other side to Ponterwyd-Aberystwyth promenade for dinner, and back home via Machynlleth,Dolgellau,Bala. 188 miles and very little traffic. A really nice ride. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - stinch182 - 20-08-13 Fitted the belly pan to my bike . It's got some marks but looks good ! Was pretty easy really ! Adz Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - jonesthesteam - 21-08-13 Fitted my new eBay £99 380mm not quite a stubby endcan (easy fit, seems good quality and sounds very nice) and then rode the estuary / coast road in glorious sunshine from Exeter down to Babbacombe, thru Starcross, Dawlish and Teignmouth to meet an old buddy for coffee, then blasted back up the A380.....nice day. Jonesy Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - snapper - 21-08-13 well as shocking as it may sound ! and as its not my birthday even i went for a ride and actually got it out the garage |
