[/quote]All that will happen now is that the savvy ones will be paying more to compensate and so will the new ones. Don't think for one second that the insurance companies will be out of pocket- they will get it back somewhere.

Just had my first quote through for my 2016 Z1000SX from my current insurers Bennetts....... £713.28!!
Baring in mind my FZ1n was insured with them for the same cover for only £186 a year and that was modified, faster and had a much smaller lock and chain in it!?
But just spent 10 minutes on the phone to them and in their typical fashion they have now "magically" managed to get it down to £385!
Honestly I'm half convinced they just have a random number generator set up in the screen when they set your renewals.
It's still more expensive then I've seen on the comparison sites but I need to make sure I'm getting the same level of cover from the cheaper companies before I switch.
What's more annoying is all the companies now messaging me quotes for my FZ1n and that's only coming up at £120ish ?

planning a full day on the boxeye tomorrow so spent a couple of hours checking the old girl over...rear brake has been spongy for a while so time to bleed the brakes, took a few try`s but now have a firm lever .strapped it down and will leave overnight, bikes been stood for a week and looses a few psi`s probably down to old tyres not sealing on the rim. down 6 psi on the front now got 32 psi, rear just needed a couple of pounds.fitted sat nav as i dont really know where iam going yet but will head to loomies and if not too busy will stop for breakfast. plan B will be to go onto Portsdown and have breakfast there...from there i dont know...maybe the New forest or perhaps a bimble east following coastal roads...roll on tomorrow :thumbup

Gave the Fazer a good clean today, then loaded up the camping gear for a couple of days down in Dorset with Flooky, of this parish.

Not all today, but in the last few weeks.
- stripped all the cats piss gold bodywork and tank off and replaced with the faster black variety
- fitted new stanchions to the powder coated forks
- took it for a ride and notices one was leaking
- compared it to another FZS600 and realised the stanchions had some sort of spacer missing (fixed inside stanchion)
- fitted replacement forks from a later model FZS600 (adjustable ones)
- took bike for a 40 mile ride and realised there was a carb issue
- spent 90 mins in the garage today removed the carbs and cleaned the jets
- now to take it for another ride.

Took advantage of the overcast weather and had a pleasant 198 mile day out around the counties nearest to me. Took ages cleaning the bike after last weeks deluge riding home from Dorset, only to come across a burst watermain way out in the wilds of Sussex. Looks like another cleaning session is on the cards tomorrow.

Evening trackday yesterday at Donington. First since last September, rusty at the start, one ride into the gravel, progressively smoother as the evening wore on. Love it.

[/quote]Riding home from Dorset last week would have broken your heart, rain, rain, and then some rain. :lol .
The last few days in the sunny south have been a bit too hot for full leathers, which is my summer choice of riding gear, so a cloudy day was ideal for a day on the bike. Other than the burst water main, it worked out quite well :thumbup

[/quote]I have a good summer leather jacket that is mainly white with loads of perforations that works well.

I remember when you first got that jacket. Very nice, and a 46 Euro, you truly are a racing snake. My RST is perforated, but not as much as your Spidi.
