New PR3 on the front.
£84 from Oponeo and £20 to fit.
Think it's the first time i can ever remember me having the same brand of tyres on front and rear in over 30 years of riding, i have a PR4 on the rear, so close enough. :lol

Cleaned the sludge out from under the chain guard to stop it dripping back down and around the wheel, oiled the chain, then finally got round to making a proper top layer of foam for my seat:

Up next, a cover, to replace the bin bags I've been sitting on since February or so!

Today I battled my way into the timing cover to check the valve clearances, all in spec... except ONE SODDING VALVE.
Debating leaving it since its <0.01mm too tight, but out of spec is out of spec...

My Fazer had the hump with me today because I have not ridden for 4 weeks and was just being a little mardy about starting first time but after 2 miles we had made up and were all smiles again. 70 miles later we both agreed to try not to leave it so long next time.

I have the same issue on my 4th cylinder. I decided in the end I would wait until a few more of them were close to spec otherwise I would just have to repeat the process and it's a right ballache getting the cams out. 0.01 isn't going to make much difference.

Couldn't resist the clear blue sky, But it was a a bit damp in the shade and I almost turned back after 35.25 miles because of it :lol

Just as i was pulling up to my home on Friday i felt and heard a click from the clutch lever.
Not entirely sure what it was but this morning had to really adjust it out to get it to function properly, but it didn't feel right to and from work.
Gonna change the cable tomorrow as i have the day off.
Should be nice cold and wet weather for the job. :\

Today I installed heated grips. I'd held out with nice squishy grips, but the cold weather forced my hands. So far it has been amazing. The ride tomorrow will be interesting, with 0/below 0 temperatures!

I promise you, you will never not want heated grips on a bike again.
If this is the first time you've ever used them in very cold weather then it will make you wonder why they are not a standard piece of kit on bikes sold in cooler countries.
Just a shame i can't get hand guards as well on my bike, the combination would be perfect.
Don't know which ones you fitted but there are quite a few out there, and strangely enough the ones i have on now, which are my 2nd set, have by far been the hottest, with several settings, yet also one of the lowest in cost to buy. On the highest setting they are still hot, even in well under freezing temperatures.
I could never be without them now, and use them more often than not throughout the year.

I put Oxford Advanced Touring grips on mine. These get plenty hot, I cant run them at full temp as its too uncomfortable. I usually sit in the lower half of the range of settings and that is plenty hot (so far).
Hand guards would be the ultimate combination, and I'd like them too, but I havent really been able to find any yet either. Eyeing them up on the next bike, which I probably need to get by April next year if I plan to continue working in central London - new emission laws mean the Fazer wont meet spec and I'd have to pay £12 or so a day to ride in. :o
