yep......see it every week noggy.....no quality control in the far east :eek ....i work in the prototype shop so get to open the samples and pick them to pieces.....had some wooden chairs from belgium a couple of weeks ago,fully assembled and polished,directors are seriously thinking about buying them and they wonder why iam a little pissed off :wall :wall :wall :wall :wall :wall

Went to university to study Model Design and Special Effects (yes that was an actual course). Finished up as an architectural model maker till I got made redundant when the recession hit.
Became a duct fitter on multi-million pound hotel projects all over the country, then jacked it in to become an apprentice pattern-maker. I'd had enough of cold sites in the winter.
Now I just make patterns for engine blocks and the like. Loving it :-)
Ogri - you still playing bass these days? Used to see you occasionally round the Peterborough pubs with Smithy.

Totally sympathise with you, Red98 foc all quality control. :eek We have had a few injuries, with tables and chairs collapsing/breaking. :wall

Unfazed..I see your a telecoms man.....if you ever worked for bt its a good bet you've sat on one of my chairs, hope its not one of the collapsing type...we did have a big problem with the chairs and a few years ago I visited all the bt sites in GB...one I remember was thurso on the north coast of scotland, iam in south bucks.all that way to repair 3 chairs, an hours work :eek

Yes, of course we'll do discount for FOCcers - 10% off our usual cheap rates, making it 18 Euros (£15!) including breakfast and garage parking!
Be good to see you and other FOCers over. Maybe we should have a Euro meet, though the annual one from the German forum is just down the road.

Trained a lot of BT staff over the years too. Most were all ways good for a laugh
