Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 09-11-21 I only bought it to use in, hopefully, a rare occasion when I’m stranded with E10 being the only option. Esso Synergy Supreme+, is my all time first choice, no ethanol at all :thumbup Re: Whoever posts last is best - fazerscotty - 11-11-21 (09-11-21, 08:28 PM)robbo link Wrote: I only bought it to use in, hopefully, a rare occasion when I’m stranded with E10 being the only option. Esso Synergy Supreme+, is my all time first choice, no ethanol at all :thumbup We have an Esso station about 3/4 mile away. I need to check which pumps, pump Heineken and which pumps, pump Skol :lol :lol BTW, where is everyone? Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 13-11-21 My local Esso is about a mile away. Always ethanol free 99 octane on tap. No lagers though, more like London Pride or Harveys. Both nice pints though. :thumbup ![]() Re: Whoever posts last is best - fazerscotty - 13-11-21 (13-11-21, 05:29 PM)robbo link Wrote: My local Esso is about a mile away. [/quote]That’s very true, but I can’t see why a company like Putoline for example, would want to risk tarnishing their brand, by entering a product market, if the product isn’t up to scratch. If you have been disappointed with it, you’re hardly likely to choose them specifically for anything else, be it oil, chain lube etc. However, you can’t beat personal experience, it beats the ad men every time. :thumbup Re: Whoever posts last is best - fazerscotty - 18-11-21 Happy days - my Ivan's kit has shown up. Looking forward to many hours fettling in the garage over the winter......... ![]() ![]() Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 18-11-21 Well, you're already a "how to get the carbs out" specialist :lol . Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 25-11-21 I hadn’t noticed that fazerscotty has gone for the slip on kit, which has smaller main jets and different needles compared to the full monty kit. The full monty benefits from mods to the air box and carb rubbers, but needs a free flowing exhaust to work properly, whereas the slip on would be a benefit even using a stock silencer, in my opinion. I've fitted a full Black Widow system already. Going to remove that for cleaning purposes, replace the gaskets etc and to make sure I have NO leaks on the exhaust side of things. Then the carbs......... New pin vices arrive today - leaving nothing to chance at the moment. Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 25-11-21 As you’ve changed the headers, why didn’t you go for the MB kit as opposed to the Slip On, or is that not available any more. Not sure a). why or b). whether they are available as I didn't look :eek :eek :eek :rollin :rollin :rollin Re: Whoever posts last is best - robbo - 25-11-21 Had a quick look on Ivan’s site and both kits are available for the same price. It might be worth having a read up, unless you’ve already done that, as it would seem the airbox mod is not necessary with the slip on kit, and in fact could be detrimental to performance. Something to do with airbox flow being matched to the needle profiles. I’m sure you’ll do an ace job whatever you decide. :thumbup Re: Whoever posts last is best - Trebus - 26-11-21 Not trying to be a pendant, as a happy owner with a slip on kit modification I’m interested to understand how people get on with the full monty kit. Is it so much better that I should invest? |
