Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - apage16 - 26-10-17 (26-10-17, 03:54 PM)Dudeofrude link Wrote:
I like your videos. You've gained a subscriber ?
Cheers Dude!! Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - robbo - 27-10-17 Took advantage of the fine weather today and had a whizz around Kent. In the spring I started a list of biker caffs I'd never been to before, so ticked the last one off today, the Blue and White Café on the A20, just out of Ashford on the right hand side. Until recently was run by Leon Camier's Mum, and fortunately the new owners have left up the photos plotting Leon's racing career, so keeping the biker "feel" to the place. The low sun was a bit of a pain at times, but still a great day to be out. :thumbup Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - mrMoog - 02-11-17 Currently off work for half term so decided an early morning full wash n wax then Back to black on all the plastic as was looking a tad grey especially the mirrors. Sun shining so a cheeky blast up to Kirby Lonsdale and back, would've been rude not to. Seen a silver fazer 1000 04 reg whilst up there too. Happy days! Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - gicut58 - 04-11-17 shhh.....don't tell anyone.......sold it......... to the chap I who wanted it when I bought it, so its gone to a good home..... If its all right with you chaps I'll hang about, this site has often given me a good chuckle and I've even entered the 'My Fazer with/next to...etc' Challenge once or twice, which has been fun. I've gone to the Dark Side and bought this: Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Hugh Mungus - 04-11-17 I fitted a couple of extra LED projector lights to the crash bars today. They were only £12 inc postage. I won't know how good they are until I ride in the dark but they look pretty good so far. They come with an independent switch so I can turn them off. One thing I don't like (and it wasn't mentioned in the advert) is that every third time you switch them on they flash like a strobe, so you have to switch them off and back on again for a steady light. It just makes me wonder why? What ever possessed the manufacturer to put a strobe into a set of lights intended for a vehicle? ![]() I fitted a pair of stainless steel radiator side guards which replace the plastic OE ones. I only fitted them because they came with a job lot of spares that I bought from the previous owner. Seemed daft to leave them in the box unused. ![]() After removing the standard mirrors I was left wondering how to cover the bolt holes in the fairing. I was going to buy some covers but they all looked a bit crap and they are darned expensive for what they are. So I bunged in four little LED's which flash with the indicators. I don't know if they shine up very well in daylight but they do at night - I had bought the LED's to use as indicator repeaters because the one in the dash shines green and is not in my line of sight while riding, I hate leaving my indicator on for countless miles and I found this was happening. I've mounted a couple of LED's in the fairing near the screen and they are very noticeable. A big improvement for about £1 ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 04-11-17 My LED Spots function in the same way. One switch on and full power, 2nd switch on half power, 3rd switch on strobe. But, and there is always a but, sometimes they get their knickers in a twist and you get one on full and the other either strobing or on half power, Ignition off and on again and it sorts its self out. :rolleyes Lights are wired so that they go off/lose power with the ignition off. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Hugh Mungus - 05-11-17 Yep, mine are wired up to a relay that works off the ignition and is separate from the headlights. I just can't see why they included a strobe - is it so you can annoy people coming the other way? Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 05-11-17 (05-11-17, 07:59 AM)Hugh Mungus link Wrote: Yep, mine are wired up to a relay that works off the ignition and is separate from the headlights. They have to have a strobe mode to comply with the F.I.R regulations. The F.I.R body came into play many years ago and govern a lot of rules that apply in the UK and Europe. The F.I.R or 'Fucking Idiot Regulations' apply to most things in life and replaced 'Com Sen' or Common Sense many years ago. :rolleyes Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - unfazed - 05-11-17 :lol :lol :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - red98 - 05-11-17 Washed the cage and the mighty thou , declared SORN and put it away untill spring , got the mighty 6 out and went for a 70 mile blast around the thames valley , great autumn day with clear skys and bright sunshine , had too stop for a piccie of my RED98 ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - agricola - 14-11-17 Rode down to youngest daughters stables to do a few jobs Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - NorthWestern - 14-11-17 Put an r1 rear wheel on and removed the torque arm. Fresh chain and sprockets. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - mr self destruct - 15-11-17 Failed the mot today. Front tyre below limit, rear brake seizing, lower shock linkage worn. But, at least it runs now. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 16-11-17 Acquired a Blue Spot rear caliper and ironmongery that goes with it today. And I do believe I have a little damp spot in anticipation of its arrival :eek :rolleyes Job for the winter. I know this is not about a Fazer but it is just as important to me so your going get it anyway. LOL! :rolleyes I have our yacht to get a survey done on tomorrow, so fingers crossed that all is well with her. She's a Westerly Pageant 26 footer and its her 5 year structural survey for the boat insurance policy, I'm sure all will be well as we keep her up together with regular diesel engine services and regular rope rigging checks. We have the masts down to check the rigging anchor points and the rigging turnbuckles serviced, had to replace one turnbuckle as the threads had corroded and it stripped the thread removing the turnbuckle jaws. The first picture was launching the old lady last spring, we bring her on dry land each winter to service her, the second picture was late one evening coming back into Chichester harbour from a day on the Solent, we dropped anchor and had a few beers and slept on the boat, following day caught lots of mackerel before heading home in the afternoon great fun with a great bunch of guys, Third picture the Motley Crew. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - robbo - 16-11-17 Tommy, that will be an awful lot of blue on a silver bike. Together with your colour choice of crew sailing gear, methinks you're a closet member of the blue faze brigade.......which is a shame really, as everyone knows that red's the best :pokefun :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - unfazed - 16-11-17 How true Robbo, we are blue in the face from saying it for years now :lol :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 17-11-17 Damn and fuck it, another bit of Blue arrived for my Fazer FZS 600 today. It arrived from the 'NorthWest' :rolleyes and I am so pleased with my purchase (Cheers Mark) the item and its associated parts were delivered as they came off the bike, that's the way it should be, no one has cleaned or tried to tart the parts up at all, what you see is what you get, brilliant. Half an hour of elbow grease and the items are as seen in the picture below. Bargain of the century these parts have done no miles at all the condition is close to brand new. I'm one happy lil Foccer. :lol ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - vinnyb - 17-11-17 Looking good Tommy, Why don't you buy a nice blue tank, fairing and tailpiece and be done with? :lol :lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 17-11-17 The next 3 upgrades lol Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 17-11-17 I will ask this question in here as its not worth starting a new post for a question like this. Are the rear pads the same on the FZS 1000 Gen 1 as they are on the FZS 600? I'm fitting a blue sport caliper from a Gen 1 FZS 1000 to the rear of my FZS 600 Foxeye and have a brand new set of pads in my shed for the FZS 600. |
