It was black but now it metallic silver, I painted the handle bar posts at the same time but kept the clamps black.

Also removed other two keys from the ignition key so should not happen again. Confusedun

Great job Tommy. I use one of these to stop the scratches. Can be picked up online for about £5, really are quite handy

Cheers for that Dude I rather like the look of that will have a look on evilBay see I can find one, not sure about a red on though might slow the old girl down. Lol!
In the mean time i found this soft rubber fob in my Man Drawer, so it will do until I can find a SILVER fob like the one you showed. :lol
The problem was I had a few other keys, including Yale front door key, along with the ignition key and they were doing the damage.

Yeah I had a similar problem with my old bike hence the purchase. I now all 3 of my lock keys on there along side the ignition key. Then keep my house/car/garage Keys on a separate keyring in my pocket.seems to be a good system so far. I did try the whole single ignition key thing but found I kept leaving it in the bike haha so the £5 for the key sock thingy was well spent. Not sure I've ever seen a silver one though but that's probably because people with silver bikes don't like to look after them ?

White = quickest ?
And my Abarth stickers add an extra 50bhp, that's not even factoring in gold wheels!

Changed both throttle cables on the 1000 today after noticing this last week when checking it to find out why the throttle was not very smooth.

Sprayed up my hugger to match black engine & swingarm paint.

Left it in the Garage and went out on the Victory coz it was really sunny and warm.

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 09-04-17

The right hand side top of my swing arm has has some marks/scuffs on it from the time i purchased that old girl (Fours years ago) so time to do something about it.

While I'm in that area off with the carbon look rear hugger (Power Bronze) and cut it down to make a carbon chain guard (Really pleased with it) and spray the top of the swing arm after striping off the rear peg hangers and rear master cylinder, then masking up and sanding down before spraying two coats etching primer, 2 coats grey undercoat, two coats of silver and two coats of clear lacquer.
Again I am really chuffed with the finished job looks good, the paint I used is a really good match for the swingarm. I also gave the rear brake line loop and anchor point a touch of the blues.
Halfords paint is very good I am impressed with it, sprays nice and clean without spits and splatters and covers very well.

After all my work this morning headed off to Loomies in Hants probably 250 bikes there, ended up having a chat with a guy called Paul he had a 2 year old Buser, nice bloke, even if he does ride a suzuki  (Notice the lower case 's') not like a Fazer  :lol

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - tommyardin - 09-04-17

This is the paint I used on my swingarm it's a good match
I will do the chain guard side on Tuesday as it has a mark on it towards the rear.
I just noticed I have a preference for the left hand as my chicken strips are smaller on that side, I need some practice with my right hand, no you dirty buggers not that  :rolleyes , I'm evenly matched on that front :lol

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Dave48 - 10-04-17

Yesterday rode in company with about 100 other bikes on the annual Easter Egg Ride from Streetbike to Birmingham Childrens Hospital & Ronald Macdonald House (adjacent to hospital where relatives of sick children can stay). As usual the run was organised & marshalled by Bridgnorth Bikers & the Blood Bikers for this region.
A very hot day & heartwarming to see some of the children wheeled out by the nursing staff to watch us arrive(noisily of course!). Never seen so many Easter Eggs! Took friend pillion on the Fazer as its more comfortable for her than the Tracer :lol

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - fatbloke62 - 10-04-17

Took it for it's MOT today got a pass all good, I was a bit nervous though it was the first time on it since I came off in January

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 13-04-17

Went out for a run with a couple of mates, taking in Hemsley and then on to Scarborough. Myself and Paul on the Gixxer both filled up at the same time when we set off, after 122 miles we stopped to fill up. I got 13. 2 litres in and he managed to squeeze in 8.72 litres, couldn't believe how economical on petrol the Gixxer is.

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Grahamm - 15-04-17

As mentioned in another thread, finally got around to cleaning up the brake calipers and then took it out for a few miles to make sure everything worked ok (which it did!)

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - red98 - 16-04-17

Collector box on my 600 has been blowing for a few weeks now , ive welded it up many times so nows the time to dig out the low milage downpipes I bought from a fellow foccer a few years ago and repaint them , wire brushed and sanded smooth and painted with halfords VHT.....they have come out a bit grey and not black as it says on the tin...look OK though......hung up in the garage to dry so all I have to do now is take the old ones off and fit new........cant see any problems there  Wink

Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - red98 - 16-04-17

Removed old down pipes and fitted new ones...no problems....old ones not looking too good , been welded up a number of times before , might try again another day , good to have a spare set....
