I can't be arsed with all the haggling lark because i would've paid way more so £13 it is. ![]() Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - fazersharp - 02-08-16 (01-08-16, 07:31 AM)darrsi link Wrote:
They just responded with an offer of £13. I'm 15 stone and fairly broad shouldered. Have a he'll of a job trying to get the mirrors in a position where I can see the road behind and not me/sky/who knows!! The mirrors you guys bought on eBay are still available from the same seller so I'll give it a go!! Are there any modifications needed? Ie drilling or just a straight swap? Cheers Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - darrsi - 31-07-17 (30-07-17, 11:31 PM)motodevcam link Wrote: I'm struggling with this too. I'm 15 stone and fairly broad shouldered. They're not too well made, and i wasn't expecting them to last long to be honest, but they're still on the bike a year later surprisingly enough. The rubber part is just a bit ill fitting, but i've kept them on simply because they give me about 40% more mirror to look at. Basically you're getting what you pay for. Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - Fazerider - 31-07-17 I’m tempted, but half the riding I do is at night and being able to cut out the glare of the trillion-candlepower headlights behind with my elbows is a massive benefit of crap mirrors! The price takes some swallowing though, but they're SW Motech so they were never going to be cheap. They do shake a bit, but at least you can see beyond elbows. I has to run a M6 die down the thread as its wasn't quite right, by hand as the studs are close together. ebay seller was xmotor-2008 Left hand one collects rain when your're parked as i have found out these last couple of weeks... Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - savvy - 04-08-17 Just got a set off Ebay seller 2015**** offered £12.00, they came back with £14.00 so offered £13.50, just to throw it back and they accepted so waiting now. Let you all know what I think. Mine were just scraped when I got the bike possibly through getting down the side of houses? :lol Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - motodevcam - 13-08-17 New mirrors fitted! £14 from the same seller. Fitting dead easy, need to tighten the pivot bolts a little as they are a bit floppy lol I know they're a wee bit big but I can now see behind me. I did think about bar end mirrors? Not sure if id still have the same problem? New cockpit view attached. ![]() ![]() Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - fazersharp - 13-08-17 Have you just burgled B&Q :lol Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - matt7chunk - 20-08-17 (31-07-17, 10:00 AM)fazersharp link Wrote:
They should make them with that flip up thing that car rear-view mirrors have
Don't know if it would work? I think they rely on rear windows reflection? Re: Crap mirrors on '98 - Wilko83 - 13-09-17 Hi Anyone fitted bar end mirrors? My fazer has no fairing and the mirrors are hopeless. |
