Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - AJM - 19-07-15 Fitted my new stubby levers from china ![]() Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - stevie-g1968 - 19-07-15 re fitted the lump of pig iron center stand......foccing bolts!!! Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - sinto607276 - 19-07-15 Took the two side led marker lights off and connected one under the nose cone, making that my side light as I also took out the standard side light and connected the led for that, not a lot, but least I was tinkering :lol Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - StuSid - 20-07-15 Didnt do it today did it yesterday but i did a lot to her. I replaced the knackered rear brake caliper with a 1000 rear caliper i picked up off eBay in excellent condition put new pads in, got a new rear tyre on it and also shortened my exhaust myself as the end was dented and i hated it, plus i prefer a shorter exhaust anyway. Thinking of changing the levers to gold as the bikes gold anyway and i need to find some of the 03 model mirrors as mine are battered and the 03 ones arms are longer which is better in my opinion. Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Nebuchernezzer - 20-07-15 Quote:Very good Nebuchernezzer I need some heated grips myself.[/size]When you decide to get the fairing on? You saw the pics from when i was playing around with putting a street triple headlight on i guess? I've always had the fairing on for actual riding, and now after i've had the bike a while i've decided to keep it (and make it work with some clip ons...eventually) Also i changed the oil, managed to not get oil on the exhausts, win! ![]() Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - herrod - 21-07-15 lowered them front forks on the yokes 15mm. handles miles better. Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - YamFazFan - 02-08-15 Bought a 32mm flat-drive hex socket from the used tools stall at the local boot sale for £1. (sprocket nut). Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - TomS_ - 02-08-15 (Tried to) give it a bit of a clean. Its obvious that I need some more tools and products to help with this. Ol' sponge and bucket that I use for my car not really cutting it. Too many nooks and crannies to get in to on a bike! :lol On this subject, what can people recommend for cleaning the engine: removing dust etc in hard to reach places, keeping it generally looking (and being) clean, degrease (??) etc? Have heard of using ACF-50 during the colder months, I dont suppose this is worthwhile in other parts of the year? Cheers! Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Neon Knight - 06-08-15 Fitted the new back wheel I had to buy because I couldn't get the rear disc mounting bolts off the old one so I could replace the rather worn rear disc. I ended up snapping the little bastards off in the wheel despite the extensive use of penetrating oil and a heat gun. In the end I just couldn't be arsed to get them drilled out and helicoiled so I bought a new wheel which although not cheap is very shiny and sexy. :'( Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Jimdy04 - 29-08-15 Today I changed the new uprated front sprocket nut and bendy washer thing. Being proactive inal, I've done it before the old one flys off. Phew. I can go fast again. Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - MMeNDtal - 30-08-15 Today I started some much needed maintenance by changing the oil and filter. The previous owner had left the bike standing for six months. Also ordered K&N air filter, NGK plugs, Colourtune and stainless down pipes (mine are holed) and looking for a cheap Carbtune Pro. Had to remove the rear wheel and replace the tire valve, which was leaking around the seal. Got hold of a set of feeler gauges to set the valve clearances. Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Val - 30-08-15 Have changed the spark plugs with CR8EIX iridium ones. Twice :'( Because the first time I forgot to remove the spacers that are screwed at the top of each plug and once you screw the plug you cannot remove the spacers. Hence removing the plugs again :lol All done now. The bike has doubled the power now for sure ![]() Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Val - 03-09-15 Just has changed the rubber footrest covers the mounting screws are a bitch to remove :'( A lot of penetration fluid and proper phillips head has done the job finally :lol Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - Bretty - 08-09-15 Minor service... Using T27 Torx a hammer to tap it and a lot of penetration fluid :lol The cover is ugly because it is not a perfect fit, too big hence slightly bended in the middle, but who cares LOL At least the cover was cheap £25 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FZS-FAZER-600-RADIATOR-GRILL-/231679802358? Here is the final result, looks good enough to me LOL ![]() Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today - sinto607276 - 10-09-15 Maybe if you put these in you wouldn't have the bendy bit? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FAZER-FZS-600-RADIATOR-END-TRIMS-/321851038181?_trkparms=aid%253D222007%2526algo%253DSIC.MBE%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D20150519202351%2526meid%253D6a539f5eb8f143c79967d2f83f72e352%2526pid%253D100408%2526rk%253D12%2526rkt%253D15%2526sd%253D231679802358&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460 |
