Personally, if I washed the bike just before taking photos for a sale ad, I'd dry it thoroughly and give it a polish too. Seems a bit lazy not to. Might be worth a sniff still though.
You can do a vehicle check on the DVLA website (which I've just done) and there's nothing on there about it being Cat C or D only that it is currently SORN.
Also, regarding the wet bike, it could be that he has just washed but in the pictures it is also pissing down with rain.
If you're struggling Nick I am about half hour from Swansea but won't be able to go until Wednesday due to my shifts.

Dealer back-up if something is found to be wrong? Lincolnshire though, so still not exactly on my doorstep. Why on earth would you fit a steering damper to an FZS1000? Yep, maybe could haggle down the price a bit for cash. HPI checks all carried out at no extra expense. Could maybe get it delivered. Anyone give me a lift from Oxfordshire to go take a look? :o :o :o :o :\

Any thoughts on this bike, anyone? What about compared to the yellow one in Swansea? Private sale vs dealer? Price on the Lincolnshire one is defo way too high, how much do you think I could reasonably expect to talk em down for a cash sale? What do you think it is worth?

I'd reckon on 10% off on cash sales, anything else is a bonus
What harm does it cost to call them and talk about the bike, then leave your number and price delivered you'd be happy with? Don't think I'd do a private sake in that way though as no backup unlike a dealer who's got a reputation to keep

Ok, don't want to mess anyone on here about, so I'm not going to ask anyone to go view a private sale bike for me - I'd want to see it for myself. Thanks for the offers, Noggy, Grayo, it's appreciated.
Think I'll phone the Lincolnshire dealer, but am not expecting anything. Price is too high, 10% off means about £2800; unlike the red/black one I missed, it's not a case of I definitely want it and would be prepared to accept a bit of inconvenience to get it. This one doesn't quite get the heart going like that.

I think it's wise to hang on a bit Nick......not least due the drugs you're on......i've got some right crazy emails from me to my boss at work from when i was drugged up with a focced up back that remind me of how much crazier i can get yet still not notice :lol
Personally....while both bikes are nice i can see that they arent just quite the perfect ones & youll kick yourself for that for ages........and the right one will pop up for sure.
I was in a rush when i got my bike...i wanted Deks bike, couldnt get it, rushed into kidding myself that mine was the one.......ended up regretting it ever since.
