I have compensatory eyesight (lazy eye) so one eye does the work of two and that one is getting a bit ropey..I daren't have surgery on it as if it went wrong the consequences would be too serious

I had laser surgery about 8 years ago and bought the package that gives you unlimited aftercare and remedial laser surgery if your sight gets out of kilter. I am ok for the time being but my near vision requires increasingly stronger reading glasses each year so maybe I might get lasered again to tug it back a bit.
If you go for laser surgery get a package that pays for remedial lasering for the rest of your life. Most of the peeps who have probs with their laser surgery bought the cheaper packages.
You pays your money.......

Regarding laser eye surgery - this has been something I have considered for several years, but being young they are often not too keen on the idea until you hit your mid-20s and your eyesight levels out a bit - mine is just getting worse
I need to go in for a new prescription, but lack of money is forcing me to delay it a bit - not ideal I know.The reason I don't use contacts now is because I sit in front of a PC all day and the contacts irritate my eyes a fair bit. Also, apparently one of my eyes is a slightly odd shape which increases the cost of the lenses as they aren't completely spherical.
For now, I'm going to give a breath deflector a shot - I think I have something around somewhere and I totally didn't consider using it for this purpose. I would normally use it for warmth

Before he stacked it into a lorry so I'd save ur pennies and spend it on a bird.... That'll definately improve ur eyesight :-))

I had a breath deflector/ guard that came with a lid a long time ago and all it did was direct it up to my glasses as it did not fit tight to my cheeks
I wonder if a DIY dust mask would work better and be cheaper

I don't think a dust mask would work, when using one when grinding out for repointing it makes your goggles mist up as it never seals around the nose, what I used to do was just put it over my mouth and only breathe through my mouth.

Back in the day Fairy Liquid put on the visor then simply rubbed off with a clean cloth would prevent fogging, I presume it would work with glasses.
I also bought some soapy type stick from a bike show before that was okay for visors but brilliant for bathroom mirrors.
Wax on wax off as matey used to say.

I use fairy to clean my glasses and I've never found it to particularly help with misting - maybe it works for a few hours but since I wear them all day the effect is usually lost by the time I get on the bike

Had my eyes done about 6 years ago, not had them checked since but I don't think there's any deteriation!
