While I am sympathetic about the bike and garage I have to confess I'm pissing myself laughing at the cause..... :lol :lol :lol

Am I right in thinking this fire had something to do with a homemade ultrasonic cleaner?

Apparently! He originally told me it was his landlord's faulty foot spa!

Sorry kitcrazy, not laughing at the question, more the answer....

Take an orbital sander, attach it to the bottom (outside) of a big plastic box so it agitates the box and contents. Fill box with coke, and some parts you want to clean. Pretend it's like a parts washer, and leave to brew...

Did I get that about right, Mr Deadeye? :rollin

pretty much...

I would say the fire started in the clothes dryer you can see in the back ground and spread to the bike which had its tank off. Maybe a small bottle of petrol being used as a temp tank

Re: Deadeyes Crash..Plus his Spontaneous Fazer Combustion incident. - richfzs - 28-01-14

IIRC, the "parts washer" was on top of the dryer...

See! Someone believes me! My housemate was distraught from the fact that he lost 90% of his underwear in the fire... that was it.

So it was a dryer then as I deducted form the other fact that it happened in November
Also there is no remains of a sander or any plug socket other than there must be one near the dryer

There were remains of the box, I don't think you could tell the remains of the sander though :\
