I could be interested. Certainly don't want any Chinese rubbish!

Nobody asked you to buy "Chinese rubbish", we were trying to find out what was readily available online  :rolleyes

I was referring to the link to the ones on eBay.

Re: Rad Hoses - glynblue2 - 09-02-13

Seeing as they are the biggest producers of motorcycles in the world as well i wouldn't have thought a hosepipe would be too much of an issue for them either!  Smile

Re: Rad Hoses - noggythenog - 09-02-13

Hi chris

I'd be interested, being the fair weather biker that i am then a bit o bling is what i need, fair play to you sorting it out,i dont know much about the money transfer side o things & everyone having different addresses to post to but im sure the hose people will have a solution, my bike's silver but i'd be up for red or blue.

Cheers

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 09-02-13

Hi Noggythenog,

No worries, i'll add you to the list of people interested  Big Grin

Thanks buddy, so far I've not done a huge amount and Deadeye has done more than me so it's a team effort but thanks  8)

Yes, payment and posting and things will need to be sorted further down the line but at the moment then just finding out how much the kit will cost is the priority. Will keep you all informed.  Smile

Re: Rad Hoses - noggythenog - 09-02-13

Agreed they make most of the stuff we buy these days and whilst a lot of it is fine, there's still plenty of it that's complete rubbish.

And sorry for taking this thread off topic.

Back to the hoses.

Re: Rad Hoses - darrsi - 10-02-13

My bike's black, and i can't for the life of me think what other colour hoses would look okay, other than, erm, black?  :rolleyes

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 10-02-13

Haha, you can get black ones if you like darrsi. Maybe a splash of colour would be nice though? red and black go well together  Wink

Re: Rad Hoses - darrsi - 10-02-13

The only other colours on my black bike are white decals or silver metalwork, i think coloured hoses would be overkill.
Different story if you have any other coloured bike though!

Re: Rad Hoses - His Dudeness - 10-02-13

I don't log in for a few days and ye start a rad hose committee :lol I'd be interested too depending on the price but I'll have to make sure mine are the same

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 10-02-13

:lol  Turn your back for two minutes. haha. Pretty sure the 600's are all the same.  Smile

Just realised you have a 400. woops.

Re: Rad Hoses - darrsi - 10-02-13

@dude what is the exact model number of your bike, because FZS400 doesn't appear to exist, apart from an outside lamp of the same code?

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 10-02-13

Hey Darrsi, sent you a pm buddy.

Re: Rad Hoses - His Dudeness - 10-02-13

Going by the part numbers they're the same but the 600 has a few extra hoses at the front of the engine. You can check out these numbers from the parts manuals in the download section if you want.

The main coolant hoses are;

                              Fazer 600                                          Fazer 400

Hose 1                  4YR-12576-00-00                              4YR-12576-00-00
Hose 2                  4YR-12577-00-00                              4YR-12577-00-00
Hose 3                  4YR-12578-00-00                              4YR-12578-00-00
Hose 4                  4YR-12579-00-00                              4YR-12579-00-00
Hose 5                  5DM-12588-00-00                              4YR-12588-00-00
Hose 6                  4YR-12589-00-00                              4YR-12589-00-00

The hoses going to the carb are; (don't think we'd need them)

Hose 1                  5DM-1243A-00-00                              4YR-1243A-00-00
Hose 2                  5DM-1243E-00-00                              4YR-1243E-00-00

The extra hoses that the 600 has are;

Hose 6                  5DM-12589-00-00
Hose 7                  5DM-12551-00-00
Hose 8                  5DM-12552-00-00

@darrsi the model code for the 400 is 4YR that's why a lot of the 600 part numbers start with 4YR instead of 5DM

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 10-02-13

Wow, that's great thanks! Very helpful information there  Smile

Would you still be interested in a kit? It will have a few extra bits of hose though... They won't make up half a kit I suspect...

yeah i'd be interested depending on the price. i think Dead Eye might have left out the two hoses going to the back of the thermostat in his picture

Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 10-02-13

Hmm, are they visable hoses? sorry not near my bike so can't go check for myself...

Re: Rad Hoses - His Dudeness - 10-02-13

ah sorry i see he already mentioned that in his post
