Re: Keeping Fit? - Dead Eye - 17-01-13

I have a severe case of being very lazy and at any point would rather take my car / fazer instead of walking / cycling. So for me its about my diet and I have recently resumed a ketogenic diet - which is basically no carbs. Think similar to Atkins / Dukan but these are obviously commercial diets to make it easier for some people. I have no issue with this diet thankfully and I feel better when doing it.

I started last May where I weighed in at nearly 20 stone, being 22, that's a pretty big issue. By the end of September I dropped to under 16 stone (averaging 2 - 2.5 pounds per week drop in weight despite a plateau in August). Switched back to just eating what I liked provided I didn't exceed my daily calories up until January and only managed to put on a few pounds - but who doesn't over christmas? So now its time to try and get myself down to hopefully around 12 stone. Could be interesting, but if I do try to add in exercise I might be able to achieve that by May meaning a drop of 8 stone in 12 months Big Grin

I can testify to this; MyFitnessPal is awesome for helping you track everything including weight, waist size, calories, fat, protein, carbs etc etc

excercise? a little bit of cycling, including the occasional 15 miles to work. other than that, lately its been reaching for the remote.

I'd go along with the cyclists here , I'm only 10 stone but if i don't ride my mountain bike regularly, i find that my spine seizes up, mainly manifesting itself in cronic back pain,
Trouble is I enjoy the fazer in equal measure, so much to enjoy but to little time to do it,
This weather though the mountain bike is a safer option

that's more likely because of what you eat. When I was doing marquee work, I never completely got rid of the belly despite swinging a 14lb sledgeyammer for 2 hours every day, walking mile after mile on rough terrain carrying heavy loads, shouldering anything up to 70 or 80 kilos from the ground up, among other things. I was strong and lean up top but no six pack because all I ate was shite.

My back is fucked now tho, hence the deadlifting
