Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - AJM - 18-10-15 Joined 4000 bikers Hoggin the bridge, crossing the old Severn Bridge back into Wales and onto Chepstow racecourse, all for charity. Great day out and spotted a few Fazers 600 & 1000. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - AJM - 19-10-15 Forgot to add during part of the journey to Chepstow Racecourse i was alongside a very nice Motoguzzi, looked just like esetest machine, with the Mrs on the back. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - youngsterbiker - 19-10-15 Went for a run to try the new gopro.. Dident have it on for the frst 15 mins of the trip, hit a foccin pheasent. Left blood on the headlight and fairing.... My mate (who is a bike safety officer for South Wales fire service) was out with four guys recently and he was demonstrating safe overtaking and a pheasant hit him in the chest at 70 mph......said it fekin hurt :eek Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - AJM - 19-10-15 (19-10-15, 01:28 PM)esetest link Wrote: [quote author=AJM link=topic=6412.msg213566#msg213566 date=1445243734]Unfortunately couldn't make it this year , the downside of shift work . You are doing it all wrong, you have to nut it as demonstrated by Iannone at Philip Island this weekend. ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - unfazed - 19-10-15 I think Ducati will either leave the fairing with the hole or throw a seagull at him to wake him up and increase the adrenaline levels. :lol Certainly one of the best overtakes I have seen in years, especially since the two he overtook were a few of the best riders in MotoGP. ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - esetest - 19-10-15 (19-10-15, 02:28 PM)AJM link Wrote: [quote author=esetest link=topic=6412.msg213580#msg213580 date=1445257688]Unfortunately couldn't make it this year , the downside of shift work . Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - NorthWestern - 20-10-15 New pads fitted ready for tomorrow's "heavy rain" ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Didier9 - 21-10-15 I had an electrical short last Friday that blew the "Ignition" fuse, causing the dash to go dark and the engine to go silent. I had the bike towed to the local MC shop for the week end, but upon notification that they probably would not get to it until later this week, I left work early yesterday and found that one of the aftermarket running light/blinker in front (a cheap Chinese piece of junk) had shorted. Interestingly, I would have thought the running lights would be on the "Signal" fuse, but no, they share the ignition/dashboard fuse. Anyhow, once the running light was disconnected and the fuse replaced, all was good and I rode the bike to work today. On my way home, the clutch cable broke right at the lever... at 16,774 miles! Bummer, so I am out of biking until Thursday at least... Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - brooker81 - 21-10-15 Had her repaired. Then wrapped her up for the winter. 6month of hell on the turquise bandit. :'( Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 21-10-15 (21-10-15, 08:03 AM)brooker81 link Wrote: Had her repaired. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - brooker81 - 22-10-15 One of the coils had suspected failure. Took all apart turned out to be a cracked spark plug. :rollin :rollin Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 22-10-15 (22-10-15, 10:00 AM)brooker81 link Wrote: One of the coils had suspected failure. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - brooker81 - 22-10-15 I've no idea it was number 4 that cracked sits direct in the most weather it was corroded to death and the others where like new. I'll put some pictures up maybe it was a heat thing?? I'm confused why it went myself although it did go when I was way over a tonne Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 22-10-15 Think I better check mine then, no idea how long they have been in. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - joebloggs - 22-10-15 ![]() Drilled the thread out of my rear brake master cyclinder after a quick measure showed it almost the same hole centre's as my Harris rearsets ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Val - 23-10-15 (25-02-13, 10:56 PM)pilgrim link Wrote: Felt a bit poorly today, so threw a sicky ( koff koff I sense you are not telling us the whole story here, IMO the bike may have been out of the shed too :rollin :rollin Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slappy - 23-10-15 At last found an aftermarket can that I don' t think is too noisey ![]() Picked this up off ebay, brand new but probably old stock, £175, had similiar one on my gen1 and have been looking for one for a few months, most I have seen have been damaged or overpriced, sometimes both! The cardboard box it came in weighed more than the can, doesn't sound much louder than the standard can but looks a lot better. Nice little bracket for the mainstand to butt up against on left hand side included with it as there is no bracket on the link pipe. Engine doesn't seem to pick up as well at low revs so might be back to RaceHQ to get the fuel map tweaked but can live with it for now. |
