You'll love it mate...some of those big corners are a bit arse twitchy...you've really got to commit to them....i know we all differ but i was taking in them in 5th gear as i was carrying a bit of speed & 5th allowed some engine braking plus when i started feeding the power it wasnt too much....fed too much on one corner, mid way round & had a bit of a squirm from the back tyre but nothing drastic.....& i wouldnt have been doing those corners like that with standard pegs, no way jose ![]() I wont lie by body was in bits after just 200 miles, even with the air hawk, but it was manageable. But that was 200 miles of hooning it so to be expected really. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - dazza - 11-06-15 After recently having to suffer unreasonable behavior from my neighbours, tried opening up a channel of communication..... Using smoke signals ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - noggythenog - 11-06-15 That'll get their attention :lol Sell the tyre to slimwilly, another year of wear outta that for him ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Anquetil - 11-06-15 100 mile round trip. Wrexham, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Vyrnwy, Bala, Corwen, Llandegla, home. Stopped at Bala for dinner and was speaking with a group of bikers from Besancon, France, on their way home from the Isle of Man. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - esetest - 11-06-15 Rode the bike the short trip too Chantry road Clifton , as it's exempt from charges in the new RPZ . Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Andy FZS - 11-06-15 Bled the rear brake again no air but long travel so I'll see how it goes. Gave it a clean out in the sun this afternoon. Finish work at 11am tomorrow so hopefully get out for a few hours in the afternoon, maybe go up to Scarborough and back over the moors stop at seaways for a cuppa then home for tea make a fuss of the wife maybe even take her out for pint. Ok that's the plan let's see what actually happens. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - riedrider - 12-06-15 Nothing up to now. Planned to commute but the battery is dead ![]() So I had to take my TDM. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - riedrider - 12-06-15 Installed a new battery, checked if there is a current drain without ignition on but actually there was nothing. Then checked the charging voltage and everything was fine. So I am pretty sure that the old battery is gone altough it is only 1,5 years old :eek Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - unfazed - 12-06-15 (12-06-15, 03:58 PM)riedrider link Wrote: Installed a new battery, checked if there is a current drain without ignition on but actually there was nothing. What make of battery was it? Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - riedrider - 12-06-15 It was a Motobatt. http://www.motobatt.com It was in the bike when I bought it. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - 7omly - 12-06-15 Had a very busy couple of days during which I've fitted a double bubble screen which has made life a lot quieer and less tiring on my 6' 1" frame. Fitted a Loobman chain oiler, much cheaper to buy than a Scottoiler and you can used any oil you like in it. Fitted a voltmeter and an ambient temperature gauge into the fairing and finally fitted a rear rack. The rear rack was actually purchased from one of our focu members johnakay and fits perfectly. It even drew praise from my missus and that doesn't happen very often. :rolleyes Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - 7omly - 12-06-15 Voltmeter and Ambient temperature gauge fitted with cable ties because I didn't want to drill any holes. johnakay's excellent rear rack, looks perfect. Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - Mike01 - 12-06-15 Fitted a new tank pad, bike never had one, I use a rucksack with waist buckles so one is needed... New wheel rim stickers to go on maybe tomorrow as looks like the weather will put stop to much riding this weekend... ![]() Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - riedrider - 12-06-15 Quote:So I am pretty sure that the old battery is gone altough it is only 1,5 years old Now I am completely sure ![]() When I removed my nice yellow battery from the bike the voltage was 9,8 V. I charged it with my Ctek MXS 5.0 in bike mode. When the Ctek showed that charging is complete I disconnected it. Voltage on the battery was only 12,62 V. Normally it should be at least 12,8 V direct after disconnection. After one hour the voltage dropped to 11,69 V.... Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - esetest - 12-06-15 Used it for the commute to work . Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - riedrider - 12-06-15 Quote:Used it for the commute to work .That´s what I tried this morning. See reply #4566 :rolleyes Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - esetest - 13-06-15 Mine packed up mid april after an interview that didn't go very well , i was told by Fowlers that the new one was only partially charged , it took a good 6 hours to fully charge it . Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - slimwilly - 13-06-15 Gave it a good clean, first time since the Mugello,Nurberg trip two weeks ago, Yesterday put a new chain and sprocket on,,fucked the original on a long motorway run at 90mph and forgot to oil it,,although it owed me nowt as it had done 20,000 miles. While rear wheel was out I could give the hub, wheel a good degrease. Also Nick Crisp called in for his long lost belongings, last seen being cut off by medics at the base of a hedge :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol There was a dormouse in his top pocket and four blackbirds eggs in the lower pocket and a 3 leaf clover inside :lol :lol :lol :lol We observed my new rear Metzeler z8interact was showing very little wear considering the 3,400 miles I just did on it, loads of motorway miles and two sessions on the Nurberg forula one track,,well pleased with that :b Re: what did you do with your fazer today ? - dazza - 13-06-15 Fitted new rear tyre and pads, then went for a scrub in ride. Came across a little reminder to take those deer signs more seriously. :eek |
