Re: Rad Hoses - dBfazer600 - 18-05-13 Mine arrived as well. Ta to every one involved in organising this. Chris, hope you are out and about on the debatable/point of view fastest colour fazer 8) Daz Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 18-05-13 Hey guys, I wasn't sure if he'd start sending them this week or the start of next week so I hadn't posted in here yet but clearly they have been sent. 8) Mine won't arrive for a couple of days, one of the down sides to living on a rock in the middle of the north sea, but I'd like to take the chance to thank everyone who has taken part in this group buy. It's been great to get to know so many of you through it and I've really enjoyed the experience. I'm on night shift pretty solidly until thursday next week so might not get a chance to reply if you have any questions. Thanks again to everyone, Chris Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 23-05-13 With the forum moving then lost quite a few posts in here. Here's the pics of my pipes fitted 8) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Chris P.S. this is my 1000th post 8) Re: Rad Hoses - Dead Eye - 23-05-13 Looks lovely and clean Chris and the pipes look awesome - even better than they do on mine ^^ Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 23-05-13 Thanks mate, the colour match is pretty good for the bike 8) Got the coolant filled up today and got her started! Just need to get MOT booked now! Chris Re: Rad Hoses - dBfazer600 - 23-05-13 The colours do match really well mate. Have you done the K & N filter at the same time or is this a job for later so you can get out and play on ya pride & joy. Daz Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 23-05-13 Done it all mate, K&N air filter, rad hoses, Blueflame exhaust (first time I heard it tonight and it's amazing!!!), painted my front forks, rebuilt rear brake caliper with new seals and a hel braided brake line, had the wheels powder coated... the list goes on, just want to ride it now! Downpipes are blowing slightly at the collector, hopefully it'll pass the MOT though. Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 23-05-13 :rollin :rollin :rollin That you did my friend! :lol Having said that, I can't afford them just now and won't have time to fit them before the rally and get it MOT'd before the Rally even if I could :o Fingers crossed it passes and I can use it until I can get stainless downpipes or at least get these welded up ![]() Chris Re: Rad Hoses - dBfazer600 - 23-05-13 You two have OCD as the down pipes look mint to me compared to my discoloured penetrated oxidised straws. Daz Re: Rad Hoses - noggythenog - 24-05-13 (23-05-13, 11:56 PM)dBfazer600 link Wrote: You two have OCD as the down pipes look mint to me compared to my discoloured penetrated oxidised straws. Well i had noticed how tatty yours looked daz,i thought youd airbrushed them in after the photo to make them look that bad for theatrical effect :b Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 24-05-13 I spent a day sanding them with varying grits of wet and dry then painted them with BBQ high temp paint ![]() Add that to the list of stuff I've done over winter. haha, as well as removing the metal coolant pipes just behind the downpipes and sanded and painted them and cleaned the frame behind them... OCD you say... :lol Chris Re: Rad Hoses - noggythenog - 24-05-13 Its paying off though chris,im guessin the roads by you are pretty good as in robust & not full o crap & dust, shit i bet even dust struggles to survive in the shetlands climate!..if you keep that bike then it'll be worth the effort 5 fold, ive got the mild weather down here but its always focin raining & the constant south westerly s straight off the coast make it dustier than a landfill full o used dustbuster hoovers!!! Im gonna have to take a pic o my bike as it is now, just for you daz to prove how not clean it is & make you feel better ![]() Re: Rad Hoses - dBfazer600 - 24-05-13 (24-05-13, 12:16 AM)noggythenog link Wrote: Im gonna have to take a pic o my bike as it is now, just for you daz to prove how not clean it is & make you feel better Fly's like shit so much that they get confused the nano second before impact with the lust of "HoshitHoshitHolyshit" as their head goes through their ass they are in fly utopia and are happy wee beasties on impact. I is in the land of shame, with a bike that needs a little more TLC than I can give :o so I have to turn to you guys to shame me into doing the decent thing and drink my larger and worry about the important things in life tomorrow 8) I is a perpetual suffer of :faz envy Daz Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 24-05-13 Haha, My bike certainly isn't perfect but it's a lot better than it was, just takes a lot of time. Most people would say it isn't worth it and I should just get out and ride it but part of the enjoyment for me is the cleaning and getting to know the bike and how it's put together and works, same with my car. Chris Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 24-05-13 All back together and MOT passed. I'm pretty pleased with it. Here's it sitting waiting for it's MOT. 8) ![]() Chris Re: Rad Hoses - dBfazer600 - 24-05-13 Were you nervous with it been the first ride of the season? It looks fantastic mate and your time well spent. Now you can play to your hearts content. Daz Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 24-05-13 More excited than nervous to be honest, just took it slow... not crawling but certainly taking it easy. Had to scrub in front tyre so didn't want to bin it after all this effort. haha. Brakes are much sharper now too so took a minute to get used to that but to be honest I very rarely use the brakes much. I definately have some kind of problem though... A blue bike, blue rad hoses, blue dash lights, blueflame exhaust, mostly blue helmet... hahaha Thanks, I'm really pleased with it! Felt so good and is definately breathing and running better/smoother with K&N air filter and exhaust. Chris Re: Rad Hoses - noggythenog - 24-05-13 Very nice man 8) A credit to all your hard work, the problem you have is all that Blue will obviously be slowing you down :b Yeah very nice indeed i must say, nothing looks out of place, sometimes you look at a bike & theres somethin just not quite right but you cant tell what it is but theres none o that on yours. Mind take plenty pics & print a few out for you to look back on in another 20 years when your boasting to your offspring about past bikes ![]() Re: Rad Hoses - Chris - 24-05-13 Thanks Noggy 8) You know blue is the fastest deep down, it's ok that you have to put with silver :lol Dad got a pic before I went out with his propper camera opposed to my crappy phone pics so will put that up later. ![]() Only thing is to carbon wrap the airbox cover on that side, done the other side and I think it's a nice touch, not a great pic but you can see it here: ![]() Chris |
