They wouldn't go anywhere close to fitting on my bike, the current gap on full lock Is a few millimetres.

Yep same here - that's how it is on the box eye.

They may work as all the fitting points away from the bars but I cannot figure out if they would hit on full lock or not. And what about the bar end weights - how would they fit. And I wonder if they would snap off with wind blast look a bit plasticky.
