Re: Puncture repair kits (Roadside) - fireblake - 24-01-20 What pumps are people using. Or do most use gas canisters for pumping tyres up? Mickey Re: Puncture repair kits (Roadside) - Dynspud - 24-01-20 Mini digital electric air pump with croc connectors to attach to the battery, which I test every couple of months just to make it will work if and when I need it!! I had the OEM ones replaced with 90 degree valves to make it easier to use garage forecourt pumps, but I didn't realise that repeatedly pushing the air hose on and pulling it off would wear the threads a little. When I tried to use the pump above, it's designed to screw into place, but it wouldn't grip on the worn threads! Fortunately it was easy enough to get them switched over and it works ok now, however it's only really a "get you going again" system and you still really need to get to a garage to inflate your tyres to full pressure. |
