Re: Santa's Sack - BBROWN1664 - 18-12-19 1970's CB400-4 new Tiger 1250 My original FZS600 There are loads of others I wouldn't mind but the top three are above Re: Santa's Sack - YamFazFan - 18-12-19 Foc that SP2 looks fantastic :eek . Might have to cross the Panigale off the list for that. Re: Santa's Sack - Dynspud - 18-12-19 True, that SP2 looks great but I'm a sucker for the original Re: Santa's Sack - fazersharp - 18-12-19 All that design and effort but looks like some one forgot about the centre stand. Even the Fazer has a better looking stand. ![]() Re: Santa's Sack - steve 10562cc - 18-12-19 Suzuki TLS1000 (widow maker) Suzuki GT750, Yamaha XJR1300SP I have owned and regretted selling all 3 Re: Santa's Sack - agricola - 18-12-19 That centre stand looks ready to collapse any second Re: Santa's Sack - VNA - 18-12-19 Quote:All that design and effort but looks like some one forgot about the centre stand. Even the Fazer has a better looking stand. Trust Fazersharp to pick on a bike for how it’s centre stand looks. :rolleyes Foc me. :lol Yeah, it’s an option extra. Kinda looks a bit DIY doesn’t it. But what really gets me is why is a centre stand an option extra? Shocking. Though a snip at 145 quid for a BMW option. Talking of the extras on the bike pictured. The mirrors are from the extras catalogue and are mingin, and only 460 quid. The classic cam covers come in at mere 1,250 quid. That hideous front engine cover is 650 quid. :lol Re: Santa's Sack - agricola - 18-12-19 First of my 3 Yamaha YX600 Radian. Had one a while back, air cooled, good handling, deceptively quick. Loved it, wish Id never sold it Re: Santa's Sack - agricola - 18-12-19 No2. Just because. The worlds favourite Re: Santa's Sack - agricola - 18-12-19 No3. Yes please Santa. The 675 with side exit exhaust Re: Santa's Sack - Freck - 18-12-19 For me it’d have to be.... 1. An RC30. The seminal road racer when I was young. 2. An Edwards rep Mille. I had one when they first came out and I wish I still had it. Loved that bike. 3. The new R1250RS Beemer. This is probably going to be my next bike purchase, unless Santa brings me one first. :lol Re: Santa's Sack - ogri48 - 18-12-19 gotta admit having having had a go on a mates 1250 beemer, the engine is just about perfect for a bike. Youd never believe it was a flat twin, especially if you had one back in the eighties(I had an ex police r100rt...truly truly godawful bike) Re: Santa's Sack - ogri48 - 18-12-19 strangely enough I had three Christmas presents (I bought for meself lol) turn up this morning from e bay. Your purchases say a lot about you, I find. What a wild man I am nowadays.... :rolleyes Re: Santa's Sack - VNA - 18-12-19 Quote:gotta admit having having had a go on a mates 1250 beemer, the engine is just about perfect for a bike. Youd never believe it was a flat twin, especially if you had one back in the eighties(I had an ex police r100rt...truly truly godawful bike) What was it? R RS RT Tell us more Ogri. I just thought it has bags of power everywhere. It picks up from nothing, sits up and tears towards the horizon. But it also just rumbles away beneath you and is so refined and civilised. Think I’m gonna get one. And the riding position on the R just seemed perfect. And it seemed fine cruising at 80, 85 despite being naked. Talking of heated grips. When I was sniffing about the MT10 I was gobsmacked to discover the official 150 quid heated grips wire directly to the battery. Piss poor for a branded extra. Re: Santa's Sack - ogri48 - 18-12-19 I dunno mate, all I know is it blew me away, and is the only new bike I'd actually have if I could afford one. ![]() Re: Santa's Sack - VNA - 18-12-19 Quote:I dunno mate, all I know is it blew me away, and is the only new bike I'd actually have if I could afford one. Wow! It made an impression. The 1250 shift cam engine, as they call it, is amazing. And everything felt right about it to me and well screwed together. It had the first modern dash I liked. Which is interesting – I thought about getting the older R1200R, run that for a year or two then bag a lightly used 1250 – but the dash on the R1200R is possibly one of the worst ever fitted to a bike. Yet the new colour TFT on the R1250R is just superb. I do think I will have to order one in the new year. Anyway I know you are getting on a bit Ogri :pokefun :lol , but sure you can't remember if it was an R RS RT or one of those monster GS things?
