Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - slimwilly - 03-04-19

In the mcn there is a piece about A bike garage in London who is authorised to do emission tests for older bikes

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - mtread - 03-04-19

It's mentioned on the other thread

now everyone has a good excuse not to go anywhere near LaaaaaaaaaaaaaNNNDDDDaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaN.

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - darrsi - 07-04-19

It's a bloody disgrace we have to pay the same as cars anyway, i think bikes are about 0.1% of the problem.

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - BBROWN1664 - 08-04-19

Out of curiosity, I went on to the checker website this evening. The result was not what I expected.

My 2000 FZS600 - non-compliant so have to pay the emissions charge
My 2012 Audi A6 diesel - non-compliant so have to pay the emissions charge
My wifes 2014 Fiat 500L diesel - non-compliant

My sons 2004 Petrol Ford Focus - Compliant!!!!!!!

What about the incinerators the council's keep building?!

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - HarryHornby - 09-04-19

I've just put all my cars into the checker and I'm confused:

04 plate Skoda Octavia 1.9 Tdi doesn't pass (but I didn't expect it to).
our "new" 11 plate Skoda Octavia 1.6 Tdi doesn't pass (I expected it to)
My 55 plate 1.4 Ford Fiesta passes.

Now this is the bit that REALLY confuses me

I thought road tax is now based on emmissions:

The 11 plate Skoda is only £30 a year (bargain!) So, that's chucking out low emmitions, yeah?  But still fails ULEZ
The 04 plate Skoda was £125 a year so not so good, I get why it would not be included in ULEZ
The 55 plate Fiesta costs me £145 and the most expensive car in terms of tax and yet passes

WTF???

My cars don't pollute according to tax but do according to ULEZ!

Potty!

I Dare say TFL want you do their data base building for them and then ofcourse there's the extra revenue to be gained from those who won't question it.

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - mtread - 09-04-19

I think Vehicle Excise Duty is based on CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) not NOx.

Re: ULEZ and Euro 3 - Dynspud - 11-04-19

Fascinating!!!
Would Mr Khan react to something like this??
I would hope so as he stands to generate a shed load more revenue from genuinely dirty, poisonous  cars and might feel more benevolent towards bikes as a consequence.
We can but hope  :rolleyes

They even charge you a tenner for the courtesy of trying to be efficient by setting up Auto Pay with your bank details. It's Dick Turpin all over again.  :rolleyes

I'd be expecting a refund if I'd paid the rip-off charge and then couldn't get anywhere because of all these middle class, champagne socialist 'Climate Change Protesters' blocking all the roads in central London.

Apparently some people are missing hospital appointments due to the actions of these priveledged, virtue signalling dickheads.

Get value for money from the ULEZ ride a 2 stroke with the 2 stroke oil pump tuned to rich.

Technically, these soap dodging pricks are causing congestion in London, so they should be charged accordingly.
Bang them up until they've paid off their bill, and we really don't care if they make a stand, they can stay inside all their life as far as i'm concerned to think about how their pathetic bellend behaviour has caused more bad than good.
