Will you have to put the AIS smog octopus back on top of the cylinder head, then? Plenty of them to choose from on ebay at least...

Thankfully that doesn't seem to be required at the moment, although I wouldn't rule anything out still. It doesn't make any difference to the emissions readings at idle or at 5k rpm which where they test for noise.
Takes me about a morning to swap out all the non-standard bits and the same to reverse the process afterwards. It's a PITA but at least it only occurs every couple of years.
