Re: tps not working - darrenc - 12-03-17 I can get it set to 5000 Re: tps not working - darrsi - 12-03-17 (12-03-17, 11:56 AM)darrenc link Wrote: I can get it set to 5000 When they're knackered or breaking down, that is the one place they won't sit at. More common to be fixed at 0rpm or 10,000rpm. Unless you set it at 5000rpm then it constantly moves either way after a short while. Re: tps not working - darrenc - 12-03-17 It did move to 10000 after a short time, I think previous owner spent a lot of time in the 0-3k range hence it being a bit shit at that range, I'm led to believe the sensor is nothing more than a glorified variable resistance dial similar to a volume dial on a stereo Re: tps not working - mogster - 12-03-17 good eve all. bike running rather well now. Re: tps not working - darrenc - 12-03-17 Glad to hear it mogster, the below 3000rpm stuttering resolved as well? Re: tps not working - mogster - 13-03-17 yes back to as before, not sure what you mean by stutter. mine was like a misfire every now and then witch got worse. i think it was like it for 5 to 600 miles. but i didnt realise the rev counter was throwng a paddy like that for a reason other than damp, so i aint a good refrence. hope it solves your problems.. couldnt find tps on ebay for mine. all the best Re: tps not working - darrsi - 13-03-17 (13-03-17, 06:15 PM)mogster link Wrote: yes back to as before, not sure what you mean by stutter. mine was like a misfire every now and then witch got worse. TPS is the same for 98-03 bikes Re: tps not working - darrenc - 13-03-17 Just tested my tps and it won't budge from 10k so glad I've ordered another, hopefully should be here in next couple of days and I'm hoping it cures my shit idle and shit running under 3k rpm. Yeah, sounds like another dud. That's the problem with these things, they don't just stop working, they gradually play games with your mind. Re: tps not working - mogster - 13-03-17 do you mean the fzs 600s is the same tps as the fzs 600 i wasnt sure and didnt know the part number.. ya kno how they bite ![]() so i went with the info sooo kindly provided and am gratefull cos my baby is pulling like it should. :rollin Re: tps not working - darrsi - 13-03-17 (13-03-17, 10:25 PM)mogster link Wrote: do you mean the fzs 600s is the same tps as the fzs 600 i wasnt sure and didnt know the part number.. ya kno how they bite In short, yeah. Same bikes, just a few mods here and there. Re: tps not working - darrenc - 14-03-17 Evening all, new TPS arrived, fitted and set to 5000, I've also added photo of box it came in to show all makes/models this TPS fits (in case people need to search for a cheaper alternative) also the new TPS had A4 stamped on back of it. But as you can now see the difference is quite a lot in comparison. Glad you've got it sorted. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup |
