Done at last!! - Fazerjon - 25-05-16 Des, not sure about the kit on eBay I've had no dealings with that but my bike is a 2003 model. Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - markie_wales - 25-05-16 Thanks - ordered. I put "Green" in the comments - fingers crossed :-) cheers Markie Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - PieEater - 25-05-16 Thanks for the write-up and photos :thumbup Did you only do the indicator lights, not the neutral, oil, high beam and backlights? I'd be more interested in doing the whole set if I was going to the trouble of taking the clocks off. Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - Fazerjon - 25-05-16 To be honest, it was only the indicators that I found hardest to see in the daylight, all the others seem fine. If you do change them all it would be best to get the Led's colour matched for each lens. Good luck, any problems just post on here or PM me. The direct link for the Led's if the above doesn't work is http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/286-T5-2xPLCC-2-Capless-LED.html Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - Cellarman - 30-05-16 Might go for blue ones for the clocks but will get some white ones as well in case they look shite Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - markie_wales - 02-06-16 Did this mod to the indicators and neutral light over lunch today - ~30 mins from start to finish. Got my LEDs from crazyleds as linked to previously in this thread - much better visibility for the indicators for <£3.00 - job's a good 'un! You do need to test the LEDs are in the right way round before refitting everything. My neutral was OK but both indicators were the wrong way round, then cocked up and only fixed one - but did not add much time! cheers Markie Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - windyg - 06-06-16 Well I thought I would jump on the band wagon but went the whole hog and fitted blue LED's for the back lighting, Total cost was under £7 and only took 45 min Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? I didn't know if the backlights would be different to the idiot lights? /Edit: Also how many LEDs do you need for the backlights? Re: Brighter Indicator bulbs on dash? Done at last!! - windyg - 07-06-16 Pie Eater In answer to your question these are the LED's I bought http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/286-T5-2xPLCC-2-Capless-LED.html The same as Fazerjon I ordered 5x Blue 4 for the back light and one for High Beam 3x green Indicators and neutral 1x red Oil Total bill under £7 When I took the old back lights out they where all showing black stains on the glass showing they were on there last legs and not giving as much light as they used to so difference is very noticable. |
