At lot of money for the age (could be a money pit) but there's something about it I like - don't know what though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262053291875?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Frosties - 26-09-15 (26-09-15, 12:47 AM)flesh link Wrote:Personally I never got on with the CBF. I looked for one for my all round bike after my 3rd FZS1000 and ended up buying a CB1300 instead. Did not like the handling of the CBF at all. CB1300 is being watched below Flesh ![]() Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 06-10-15 cheers for this thread as I've been looking to get another bike & there is a CBF1000 come up for sale that I'm going to look at tonight. its 07 plate with 14.5k miles on and looks a beaut! only thing is i'm fussy bout is the riding position & how easy it is to manoeuvre standing still & very slow speeds! If I get it I'll put pics up, if I don't I'll put sellers link up lol! Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Frosties - 06-10-15 Put a link up Robbie and I can beat you to it offer some advice. Keep looking at this one below. Literally a mile away from me but can't get past the shite colour :'( http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510047497799/sort/locasc/postcode/rg414as/radius/100/make/honda/model/cbf1000/cc-from/900cc/cc-to/1100cc/page/1/usedbikes Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - BBROWN1664 - 06-10-15 :agree Not sure about that colour either. Never seen one like that before. Why would you want a slow colour anyway? Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - BBROWN1664 - 06-10-15 Frosties et al Here is a nice looking one. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201501140154985?search-target=usedbikes&make=honda&model=cbf1000&maximum-mileage=up_to_15000_miles&maximum-age=up_to_8_years_old&postcode=rh118jd&radius=100&sort=default&page=1&logcode=p Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 06-10-15 (06-10-15, 12:29 PM)Frosties link Wrote:Put a link up Robbie and I can beat you to it offer some advice. oh so you don't like the colour?? good job cuz I just bought it lol!!!! pick it up Monday after work!! ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510047497799?search-target=usedbikes&make=honda&cc-to=1200cc&price-from=2500&price-to=3000&cc-from=900cc&sort=default&radius=1500&page=7&postcode=rg279xa&logcode=p Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 06-10-15 as for the colour I can't explain on here but after black or silver it is spot on for me!! will be changing number plate too haha Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Val - 06-10-15 (21-09-15, 10:09 PM)Frosties link Wrote:Its purely for the ABS. After the shunt up town with the van recently in the wet, a little switch has triggered in my head that for the mileage I do it's now a must have - especially in London. FZ1S with ABS than - surely way better than Hondas :lol http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FZ1-Fazer-2007-ABS-/321878826068?hash=item4af1791c54 Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 06-10-15 that's nice but £1k more than I had to play with Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Frosties - 06-10-15 (06-10-15, 08:48 PM)Robbie8666 link Wrote:
oh so you don't like the colour?? good job cuz I just bought it lol!!!! pick it up Monday after work!! ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510047497799?search-target=usedbikes&make=honda&cc-to=1200cc&price-from=2500&price-to=3000&cc-from=900cc&sort=default&radius=1500&page=7&postcode=rg279xa&logcode=p
:lol :lol Both scouting the same bloody bike, what were the chances eh? Pleased for you Robbie, nice one fella. I really did try to like the colour because the rest of the bike was totally spot on including options...........and a feckin mile away from me. Agree that Silver and Black are better but would also take the white or candy red ahead of the blue - personal choice. I know where the bike is.........good luck making it to the motorway :rollin Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 07-10-15 haha thanks was well chuffed with it, like you say fully loaded and spotless its been kept in a garage all its life, well that's about to change hehehe will keep you all updated on it. Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - BBROWN1664 - 07-10-15 Maybe we need to add a CBF1000 sub-forum to this site now :pokefun Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Frosties - 07-10-15 (07-10-15, 08:54 AM)BBROWN1664 link Wrote:Maybe we need to add a CBF1000 sub-forum to this site now :pokefun Ohhhhhhhhh grrrrrrrrrrreat idea. Not a bad shout BB - worth thinking about. Currently scouting this one - NOT BLUE, nice rear shock upgrade, knuckle wind deflectors, comfort seat, lowers etc. Mileage is double but I do about 20 - 23k a year so is it an issue. It's also private so a hard haggle down to £2800 could be on the cards. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201509076696104?search-target=usedbikes&make=honda&model=cbf1000&price-to=3500&postcode=rg414as&page=1&radius=1500&sort=locasc&logcode=p Re: Choice of 2 bikes for work - Robbie8666 - 07-10-15 I like look of those knuckle deflectors... have to research them!
