Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - nickodemon - 21-09-15 Nice one. I will check in the morning! ![]() Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - nickodemon - 22-09-15 Just checked and i dont have any plugs at all. I have a collection of black wires all taped together. (i think there has been an alarm that has been removed. Check out the pics :eek Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - unfazed - 23-09-15 Therein could be your problem, are you willing to take on the task of sorting out the wires to ensure they are connected correctly. You are going to have to be able to use the meter in OHM and Volt scales. I don't know how proficient you are with a meter :eek Post a pic of the meter you are using if you are not proficient. Easy enough to go through it and I am around this evening, if you need help. If you find 3 wires joined together there is the bypass and probably the dodgy connection. Before you check these wires fix the side stand switch. Dismantle it and clean the contacts with something lightly abrasive. Grease the plunger then spray the inners with a little bit of WD40and reassemble it. Test it. Plunger pushed in connectivity (side stand up), plunger out no connectivity (side stand down). Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - nickodemon - 24-09-15 Bike has been running fine for last 2 days, but i will dismantle the sidestand switch and sort it. I will pull apart the collection of black wires at some point over the next week or two..Unless it starts playing up again, then i will do it straight away... I'm an electrician, so i'm totally fine with all the functions on my meter :lol Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - unfazed - 24-09-15 Looks like my work here is done :lol Re: pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat! - nickodemon - 25-09-15 Big thanks for the pic of the block connectors..... Pity i didn't have any :lol |
